For the first time ever, Tubbo dreaded a bike ride. All he wanted to do is turn back around and stay with Ranboo, letting him read a book until the two fell asleep cuddled up. Well, he wasn't too sure about the cuddled up part but he still wanted to do it. Once Tubbo got a slip he was thirsty for more.
There was nothing he could do to stop the thing that was about to happen, he was just going to have to embrace it as it is. His peddling gets slower as he gets closer. Guilt and anxiety spinning around him when his house comes into his view.
He cringed hoping his parents weren't seeing him through the windows as he put his bike in its spot. His jaw hurt because of how hard he was clenching his teeth together.
Tubbo entered the shed-like building knowing the window was no longer opened for him to sneak through. Once he got in he stripped from his clothes turning on the shower. He held his used clothes in his hands and stared at them for a bit. These clothes were the longest any of his clothes have been outside. Before he put them down the shoot he grabbed the paper Ranboo had given him with his phone number neatly written on it.
Tubbo decided to take his time this round, letting the hot procrastination soak into his skin until it burned red.
He soon stepped out drying himself and changing into new clothes. He opened the large door and went up the staircase to the main house prepared for the worst. He found his parents in the main room, white face masks and all. They stood feet away from Tubbo.
Tubbo looked down to the floor. He didn't like getting yelled at, no one really does. But he knew he deserved it this time. "Toby Smith! Why the hell did you sneak out last night?! You know it only takes a couple hours to get sick out there!" His mother yelled, she was the most protective out of the two.
"We were worried about you!" She gushed.
"You weren't..." Tubbo snarled under his breath regretting it as soon as it came out.
"What did you say?" She questioned with daggers in her eyes.
"If you were worried about me you would have tried to come find me."
"Hey! We were worried about you! We called the cops and they had a search party looking for you. You worried us sick!" His dad barged in. "Where were you? Did you go into any public spaces? Did you have any physical contact with anyone? Was it sexual? We can't take any chances."
Tubbo flushed of embarrassment. "What the f- No? I was with a friend." He crossed his arms as he watched his dad give his mom a look.
"I was going to tell you I swear! It's just, you know how everyone thinks I'm weird at school and I had to make sure this person was ok with that first. I've only been sneaking out for two weeks, an hour a day. It's just this time I accidentally fell asleep. I couldn't come back here on time." Tubbo sighed and looked down to his feet. "I'm- I'm sorry."
His parents took a step or two back. "You're grounded."
"I know." Tubbo swallowed.
"We're going to have to put you in quarantine."
"I know." He stated.
"And we are going to install a lock on your window. No more sneaking out. If you prove it to us you can get a schedule like your sister."
"Okay." He said looking up at the masked faces he had to call parents. "I'm sorry."
His mom spoke up. "I'm happy you've made a friend Toby," The words felt like plastic to Tubbo. "but that doesn't mean you can go breaking the rules and get you and your sister sick." He was convinced she didn't mean that. She was just protecting herself.
