Tubbo was breaking his eardrums again, but not to not think about Ranboo. Instead, he was thinking about Ranboo as he had for the last two weeks. He graduated two weeks ago and went home expecting Ranboo but he never showed up. He was trying to reason with himself though. Tubbo's school might have an earlier graduation date. Maybe Ranboo ran into a problem with transportation. Or his parents could've caught him, but that wouldn't make sense because Ranboo was legal and he could leave if he wanted to.
Tubbo couldn't leave. His parents are looking into "online schooling". He didn't understand what that was, nor had he ever heard of it. Basically, he'd get everything he needed sent through Email on the computer and he'd print it out, do the work, then send it to the school. Tubbo's pretty sure this is very much not allowed and his parents are bribing the university. He would be thankful if they weren't screwing up his life even more.
Tubbo didn't care at the moment, he just wanted Ranboo and did not think about the fact that there was a big chance that he just abandoned him in this hell of a house.
Although Lani, Phil, and Tommy were constantly reassuring him that he'd soon arrive, he couldn't help but think the worst; it was human nature. He also couldn't help but blame himself for the whole thing.
Why did he have to get attached to Ranboo? How could he do such a thing to the both of them? He shouldn't have gone to his house and played his stupid ukulele. All of this pain would've been avoided and replaced by dispassionate feelings of life. Though, if Ranboo did come back, it would be worth it in the end. That still hadn't happened, and if it never did, Tubbo wasn't sure what he'd do. Would he even stay here? Maybe he'd run away into the streets so the rats could eat him alive along with the burning sun.
But right now it was only Schrodinger's cat. Tubbo was so close to opening that box. It's never the package's fault for being late, nor the lazy mailman's. It was the process of arriving. It was everyone's fault. Just a few more weeks and then Tubbo would tear open that box before the experiment was even complete.
Tubbo rolled onto his side, staring at the wall that his mind animated with the lyrics of the rock song blaring in his poor ears. But Tubbo didn't care, it felt good like alcohol blocking the pain. Then a thought came to his head, alcohol might not be that bad.
The only problem was that the music was so loud he couldn't hear the "Tink, tink, tink!" outside his window.
"Oh my fucking god. Tubbo!" Ranboo was irritated, to say the least. Tubbo was right fucking there! Right in front of him and yet he's still running into another problem. It was like the universe hated him. He couldn't break the window, Tubbo's parents would probably hear. He also didn't want to get cut (he had enough injuries as it was).
"Toby! Come on Bee, I'm right here!" Ranboo began to laugh out of the stress of the situation. It was so stupid that Tubbo's volume was too high for him to hear Ranboo's cries. Ranboo caught his breath, he had to stop and think for a moment.
He could try to shake the window frame, that would make enough noise. Ranboo grabbed the bottom half of the top sheet of glass, he prayed his parents wouldn't hear and began to shake it violently.
Tubbo didn't budge.
"OH MY FUCKING-"
"...god." Tubbo perked up at the muffled voice he heard from outside. He looked over to the window curious to know what the neighbors were yelling about this time, but instead, his view was blocked by a Ranboo who was on the brink of tears with frustration.
It was a good few seconds of silent blinks and an open mouth of shock for Tubbo to realize the stupid smirk that was sprawling across Ranboo's face was actually real.
