Trip walked through the desolate wasteland. [writer's note: yes, Trip from sonic superstars. let me have my cake and eat it.] she had recently decided to visit Sonic. however, what played out wasn't expected. she found empty husks after mannequins that once had a pulse. innocent animals were slaughtered. those who wern't had long since evacuated.
''what.... happened here?'' Trip asked.
''i'll tell you what has happened, little Trip'' a sinister voice answered her confusion. it was MutanX, who leaned over, and waved his finger.
''who are you?'' Trip shuddered seeing the demon.
''hehe.... curious, are we not? i am MutanX, your Saviour from the shackles they call life. while your soul rests in heaven, your corpse becomes something of it's own.... and becomes mine to use. now, dear Trip, you and your pesky friends will fall before me, and my brothers'' MutanX monologued. ''you have no escape, fool. so accept your fate, and it will be quicker.''
''no... i can't succumb to your darkness! i must find my friends before it's too late!'' Trip shot back, curling into a ball and speeding away. MutanX was left floating, snickering.
''so be it, Trip. this will be much more fun anyway'' he said in a low tone.
Trip ran, then she skidded. there, was a chaos emerald. [writer's note: i'm getting forgetful of how many chaos emeralds there were. might have to reread this book so i can keep track for the final battle]. she grabbed it, then continued running. across the grass, there were corpses after corpses, mannequins after mannequins. Trip eventually decided to stop and take a breather, hiding into a tree. she knew eventually, she would be caught. it would be game over for her if MutanX managed to grab her. so she embraced for the worst, and hoped for the best. i don't know how that works, but then again, i can't think of better plots for chapters.
MutanX tore through a tree, yelling ''BASTARD! YOU THOUGHT I WOULD KILL YOU THAT FAST? WE'RE GOING TO HAVE SOME FUN!'' in a demonic, devilish voice. eventually, he caught sight of a footstep. he leaned toward it, sniffing it. turns out, he realized it was from Trip. he smirked evily.
''i have a trace on you, little Trip. i have a sense of smell beyond your comprehension.'' MutanX said in a low yet booming voice. Trip held herself in. she was done for....
when suddenly, a blinding flash of light threw MutanX back.
''WHAT- WHO DARES RUIN MY HUNT?!'' MutanX had finally lost his cool, and transformed into his second form: a giant beast with black arms, and still a big purple X across his chest:

''i am Silver.'' the voice of the sender of the flash spoke, revealing a white hedgehog with a different hairstyle then Sonic and Shadow, different shoes, and a cyan circle thing on his glove. ''i have come to the past to save the future. do you get it? i come from the future? and i heard the disturbance in the peace is you and your brothers!'' he continued, pointing to MutanX.
''WHO CARES ABOUT YOUR PRECIOUS FUTURE?!'' MutanX roared.
''hands up, kid. you gotta come with me. but first, ki'll deal with this beast'' Silver said, surrounding his hand with psychosis energy.
so how did Silver get here? well...... i will explain.
