Clarke decided to take this opportunity to be cute, Lexa asked her to be her Valentine, it was in... a week? Time really does fly by when everything is perfect.
"Well, she's got this intensity, you know? Like, when she looks at me, it feels like she's reading my soul. And those tattoos.. they're- well" Clarke chuckled over the phone.
"God it's like you're living in a romance novel. I swear, if you start reciting poetry, I'm hanging up."
Clarke laughed, shaking her head at Raven's skepticism.
"No poetry, I promise. But seriously, Raven, there's something special about her. We just click. She just like.. Spawned out of nowhere and it was just instant"
Raven, still munching on her salad, gave an exaggerated sigh. "Well, well. Looks like Lexa has you under her spell. Do I need to come over there and rescue you?"
"No rescuing needed, thank you very much. Lexa is a catch."
"Good, good. But just remember, if she breaks your heart, I've got the toolkit for revenge. We'll toilet paper her apartment or something." Raven chewed loudly.
Clarke laughed, "I appreciate the support, Raven, but let's hope it doesn't come to that. I'm genuinely happy with her."
"Alright, alright. I'll keep the revenge toolkit on standby, just in case. But seriously, I'm happy for you. You deserve all the happiness in the world."
"Thanks, Raven. You're the best. And I promise not to flood your phone with relationship updates every day."
"Oh no, you can flood my phone with relationship stuff. Just spare me the explicit details, please."
Clarke laughed, imagining Raven cringing on the other end of the line. "Are you saying you don't want to hear about her slamming me on the dinner table.. Or how my entire body is sore every morning?" She grinned.
"Okay.. Maybe."
She glanced around, inspecting her progress with a satisfied nod. The clutter was disappearing. A whiff of a lemon-scented cleaner lingered in the air as she tackled the surfaces with a sponge in one hand and humming a tune.
"Feel the rain on your skin! No one else can feel it for you-"
A loud knock was heard from the apartment next door.
"Keep it down, bitch!"
"It's two pm you fucking buzzkill?!" Clarke yelled.
