Adonis and his teammate—who he now knew as Shidou, stood on their half of the pitch, faced against Kunigami and Reo.

SECOND SELECTION 2V2 RIVALRY BATTLE— BEGIN!

The ball started in Kunigami's possesion, who made a pass to Reo out of the midfield circle.

Reo is immediately marked by Shidou, who stands infront of the man with a cocky grin on his face.

The rush causes Reo to pass it back to Kunigami, who recieves the ball cleanly in the middle.

He stands infront of Adonis, who stands with a blank expression on his face, a opposite to Shidou.

"Get ready, Akito. It's the end of the line for you."

"Is that so?" The words come from another voice, Shidou, who had came up on Kunigami while the man wasn't paying attention, kicking the ball out from under him.

Adonis scoops the ball off the tackle, advancing downfield as he's met by Reo, an angry look of determination on the boy's face

Perhaps he was still angry about Adonis making a fool out of him in their final match.

"You're in my way."

"I know. Last time was a fluke, you won't get past me this time."

A chuckle left Adonis's lips, "A fluke? Did you take your meds this morning?"

Adonis's words seemed to have angered Reo to some extent, causing the boy to recklessly lunge out for the ball.

Adonis used his momentum against him once again, spinning off the man whilst he controlled the ball, continuing downfield once he was clear of him.

Reo recovered quickly, tralining closely behind the man as he tried to fight for the ball.

Adonis made a quick pass to Shidou, who received the ball and advanced on Kunigami, making a back heel pass back to his teammate.

Adonis traps the pass in perfect position, Reo unable to do anything to stop the man as he swings his left leg quickly, as if it were a blur, taking a shot from the top of the box.

Reo watched the ball fly in anticipation, immediate dissapointment filling his mind, convinced he had failed to stop the man once again.

Surely he'd score, and surely they'd end up losing. He wanted revenge on this man, Kunigami did too, for whatever reason. So that's why they'd taken the match.

He, Nagi, and Zantetsu all together couldn't even stop this man, the realization set in, he now felt foolish to think he could do it himself.

Both he and Kunigami watch as the ball travels through the air, fully expecting it to crash into the back of the net.

Only, it takes a curve, not travelling all the way into the box, moving towards the corner of the pitch, a missed shot.

"Second Ball!" Reo yelled out, causing Kunigami to instinctively rush to recover the miss.

But Adonis, he didn't move, he didn't yell, he didn't even do so much as bat an eye.
