𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐒 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐎𝐃 at the precipice of the field, ball under his foot, the noise of the audience echoing throughout the entirety of Japan.

Fifteen minutes would decide the futures of those within Blue Lock, and he stood on the opposing side.

It could be by his hand, that an entire team of talent ceases to be, condemned to become nothing more than a memory.

He'd give his respect where it was due, Blue Lock likely would've won the game had he not been included.

Regardless, though, nobody is just gifted a victory. If you can't win because of circumstance, you were never meant to win.

Sure, the score was still 3-3, but that was not by will of Blue Lock, no matter how much they believed so.

Adonis controlled the pitch, every action, every motion, every position. He saw to it all.

The sooner they realized it, the easier it would be to cope with the inevitable loss.

As now, it was the beginning of the endgame.

RESTART

Adonis tapped the ball to Sae, the two advancing off of the whistle, the pair the sole reasons the u-20 team was still even in the game to begin with.

it was two, maybe three if you included Aiku, versus eleven, and the best in the generation were winning.

Blue Lock conformed to Adonis, immediately anticipating a pass to the man from Sae.

"Only the idiots who can keep up," Sae began, his voice grim to Blue Lock, "Will get to see what comes next."

An elastico nutmeg follows, the man passing Isagi with ease, his ego apparent for the first time all match.

He'd switched into a higher gear, this late into the match, finally getting serious.

His abilities were unfathomable to them, a mystery too complicated for the feeble minds of the Blue Lock eleven.

And if this was Sae Itoshi, when he decided to take them even the slightest bit serious, then...

The thought was terrifying.

The thought, that Adonis Saint, hadn't been taking them seriously either.

Were they so foolish? To even think they'd been on an equal playing field with the two?

How truly far away were they, these prodigies?

One by one, Sae crushes Blue Lock, advancing past the pressure with ease, not even breaking a sweat in his stride.

Barou, defeated. Karasu, defeated. Nagi, Isagi, Yukimiya, Rin, Hiori, Aryu. All defeated.

An act of beautiful destruction, and all they could do was watch in awe, hopeless against the advance.

Adonis did the same, advancing down the field as he had throughout the match, Bachira and Reo both trying and failing to stop him.

Nothing they did, nothing anybody did, could stop the two.

Truly, the greatest of the next generation, and throughout the history of Japan.

The pass fell perfectly, Sae finally placing the shot directly where it was needed, Adonis's eyes locked on the ball.

Bachira and Reo pressed him from the sides, both trying to stop his advance into the box.

He extends his long leg, trapping the ball on the crease of his left foot, his leg bending at the knee whilst he preformed a question mark kick, a known Taekwondo move.
