Chapter 7

A/n I have been updating daily so far but it might be every day to every other day but I'll try to be consistent.

A few weeks after the incident.

Felix POV

Mari did press charges. To say my uncle and cousin were outraged is an understatement. Especially with me and my mother taking Maris' side. My uncle threatened Mari and her parents several times. Lucky he didn't use half his brain and try and akumatize anyone throughout the whole fight of getting them to go to court. Mari has been out of the hospital and Chloe Bourgeois decided to take a break from her studies to stay here with Mari. Chloe is a great friend to Mari. I'm glad Mari has her as a friend. I sit with my mother outside the courtroom waiting for our group to be called Adrien has been being held by the cops until the trial, they feared his father would try and get him out of the country. Mari and her parents sit on a bench across from me.

"I'm glad you saved her." My mother says looking at Mari. "She's such a sweetheart, and I've only really met her once."

"She's amazing." My mother turned and looks at me with a shocked expression.

"Do you, like that girl Felix?" My mother asks. I feel my face get hot. Shit I'm blushing. My mother is never going to let me live this down.

"What? No! She's my...friend." saying that out loud hurts. She's always going to be way more than a friend to me but it won't happen. My cousin hurt her. How could she fall in love with someone related to that monster?

"Felix. I'm your mother, I can tell. She'd be a wonderful person to have in the family." She says smiling. I look back to Mari who is now talking to Chloe and a boy with black hair with blue tips walks up. Who is that? Mari stands up and hugs him. I clench my jaw. Mari pulls away and is now holding his hand. Chloe stands up and hugs him, causing the boy to let go of Mari's hand. Chloe pulls away and started talking. I can't hear the words they are exchanging but it seems to anger the boy. He seems to start questioning Chloe and Mari. Mari shifts her feet side to side looking down. She's getting uncomfortable.

Without thinking I'm suddenly over with the group and pulling Mari into a hug. She then starts to sob.

"Who the hell-?" The boy starts.

"Luca wait! I know he looks like Adrien but this is Mari's friend. I promise he's not here to hurt her." Chloe interrupts. Mari cries, gripping me closer to her.

"He looks just like him." Luca says, looking at me with confusion. He looks at Mari who is starting to calm down. I lean down a bit to her level.

"Mari," I whisper so only she can hear. "You're safe with me. I promise I won't let you go unless you want me to." She sniffles.

"You promise?"

"Yes. I promise." I stand back up straight and give her a kiss on the forehead. She looks up and smiles. Relaxing she leans her head on my chest and closes her eyes. I look up and turn to see Luca and Chloe staring at me in shock.

"What?" I ask. I must have missed what they were saying, but Mari was more important anyways.

"You....you were able to prevent her from having a panic attack. I-i almost caused Marinette to have a panic attack." Luca mentions, clearly upset. I can see tears forming in the corners of his eyes.

"Woah there don't get akumatized now." I joke knowing it's not really a joke.

"Dupain-Cheng and Agrest's case can now enter the room!" A woman shouts propping open a door. Everyone involved with the case stands and makes their way into the room.

A/N I'm not going to bore you with the whole trial (I'll give you a few clips) and this is being kind of dealt with in an American manner because I am American and don't quite know how this would be dealt with in France. Soooo yeah come back tomorrow to see what drama unfolds!
