Chapter 9

Felix POV

"I hereby find the defendant guilty! Six months in jail without parole and a 50,000 dollar fine for the expenses for the family. That is the best I can do." The judge says. My uncle shouts as a police officer handcuffs Adrien and starts to lead him away. I look over to where Mari is, she's hugging Chloe. My mother places her hand on my shoulder.

"You're a brave boy pluma, I'm glad you stood up to Adrien and your uncle." She says then she starts for the door. She has work but knew how important the trial was to me. I turn and walk towards Mari.

"...it's not long but maybe he'll get better in there." Luca says I missed the first part of the conversation. "Oh hey Felix."

Mari spins around and looks up to me. "Felix." She says then wraps her arms around my neck hugging me.

"You did it." I hug her back.

"Woah there." Chloe giggles. "Overprotective ex boyfriend alert."

I look up and raise my eyebrows and Chloe is laughing at Luca who has his arms crossed and glaring at her. Mari clearly didn't hear them.

"Chloe she's my best friend and we dated over four years ago and only for about a month." He says, rolling his eyes at her. Then looking at me he whispers so Mari can't hear, "Please don't hurt her."

I nod. A mutual agreement between two strangers is made. I will not let Mari get hurt ever again.

Maris' parents decided that it was best for her to switch schools. She had missed school because of the trial and then was getting threatened because Adrien told Lila what happened. With Adrien in jail the whole city was on a fritz. And akumatizations were happening daily. What are the odds that she'd end up in the same school as me? Low right? No, she just happened to get an offer from the school I was currently enrolled in. Collège d'entrepreneuriat.

Mari POV

I pull up to the outside of the college. It's huge, and beautiful. My parents let me borrow the car so I could move my things into the dorms. The school was too far from the bakery to live at home, and it was recommended that students lived in the dorms. I get out of the car and start to pick up one of my boxes.

"Mari!" I turned to see Felix walking towards me with a blonde girl.

"Hey I'm Allegra! I'm going to be one of your roommates!" She says then grabs the box from my hands.

"Oh it's nice to meet you I'm-"

"Marinette Dupain-Cheng. I know Felix told us you were coming." Allegra interrupts.

"Us?" I ask. Just then two boys both show up behind Felix.

"Hey! I'm Claude, and this is my best friend Allen." The boy with brown shaggy hair says. The other boy has dark skin and even darker hair.

"It's nice to finally meet you." Allen says, holding out his hand. I take it and we shake hands.

"We'll help you take your things to the dorm." Claude says.

"Oh thank you so much. You guys are so nice." I grab another box out and Claude grabs it from me. Then another box and Allen does the same thing. Finally I grab the last box and hold it myself. Felix tries to grab it but I shoo him away. I lock the car and the others start walking to the dormitories.

"Is that the"box"?" Felix laughs when we're out of earshot from the others. I know he's referring to the miraculous box, so I nod. "I thought you trusted me. I took care of them for nearly a whole year."

"You stole them." I give him a playful glare. He puts his hands up.

"Alright, fair enough. We're almost there." He then walks ahead and unlocks the door holding it open for the rest of us. Then he opens another door to an almost bare room.

"Where do you want the boxes, Marinette?" Allegra asked.

"Oh just on the floor is fine." I smile setting the box I'm holding on the desk. "Also you can just call me Mari. Marinette is a bit long."

"Okay!"

"Alright."

"Nice."

"Thank you all so much for helping me." I look at them and smile. Allegra is beautiful, her hair is extremely long. Claude gives off a cool vibe. Allen seems a bit quiet but he's respectful.

"Well Felix has never asked us to help him with something before so when he did we got curious." Claude smirks.

"Don't be getting any ideas Claude." Felix says.

"We should let Mari get situated boys, come on let's go." Allegra rolls her eyes and pulls Allen and Claude out of the room closing the door behind her. Now it was me and Felix. I turn and look at him, and he takes a seat on the bed that lacks sheets.

"Your friends are sweet." I smile. He tilts his head.

"They're your friends now. Allegra has never talked to any other girl the way she spoke to you. She says girls give off bad vibes." He chuckles. "By the way she immediately helped you I'm guessing she likes you. So congrats your Allegra approved."

"Really?" I ask standing at the desk still.

"Yeah." He smiles. It's so pretty when he smiles. He always avoided smiling around others but I've noticed he smiles a lot around me. I step forward towards him. He stands up almost immediately and opens his arms. I practically jump into the hug. It's where I feel the safest now. In his arms.

"Mari?" He hums. I nuzzle my face into his chest. He lets out a soft sigh. "Mari."

"Hmm."

"I......I love you." My heart skips a beat. He what? I pull away and look up into his eyes. He smiles and leans down placing his forehead on mine. "Yes you heard me right sweetheart. I love you Marinette Dupain-Cheng."

A/N heyyyyy cliffhanger woohoo! Also the characters I mentioned as Felix's friends are from "miraculous office UA" on YouTube. So if you want to check that out I highly recommend it! I'm not quite sure where they came from; they might be his friends from school in the show. I honestly have no idea but they make great friends. 👍
