Chapter 12

Marinette POV

Arriving at the school in a car with Felix instantly got attention of my former classmates. Everyone stood back whispering. They probably didn't approach us because one of Felix bodyguard had come with us and followed from behind. We walk to the office and I sign some papers and take some copies.

Once everything is done in the office, we stand up and leave. As we step out of the office we're met with Lila and Ayla, and their little followers. Miles, Felixs bodyguard steps forward and tells them to get loss.

"We just wanted to know how she got away with lying in court." Ayla says crossing her arms I feel tears forming.

"Oh shut up he admitted to it." Felix says. He gives his bodyguard a signal and we get through the crowd and back to the car. I get in and the tears start to flow. They still think I'm the liar.

"Mari..." Felix whispers, reaching up to my face, I turn towards him. I reach up and place my hand over his.

"I'm sorry. It's just......why don't they believe me...I mean he even admitted to it and they still blame me.... I'm sorry for crying." I sob. Adrien always got mad at me whenever I cried, I wonder why Felix has said anything about it yet.

"Sweetheart it's ok for you to cry. Don't apologize for something as silly as that." He places his forehead on mine. He's not mad at me? I start crying harder he moves back a bit then pulls me into his arms.

Felix POV

I hold Mari in my arms until she falls asleep. It's only about an hour from the bakery but she is out. We arrive at the college shortly with Mari still asleep. Without waking her up I slowly exit the car with her in my arms. I thank Miles and he heads back home. Lucky Mari is almost weightless so it's easy to type in the code to the dorms building and open doors. I knocked on the door to our flat and wait for someone to answer. It's about 6:30pm and the others are night owls. Allen opens the door and stares.

"Felix?"

"Yes hello can you let me in and help me get her to her room." I ask him. He nods and opens the door all the way then closes it. He does a little run to Mari's room and opens the door. I can feel the other two staring. I walk into her room and throw back the cover and lay her down. I pull the blanket over her and go to kiss her forehead almost forgetting that Allen is there I pull away. I turned and look at Allen who is staring at me. I walk past him out of the room and he follows closing the door.

"I'm confused I thought you said they were family members." Claude says turning to Allegra. She eyes widen and she quickly looks at Claude.

"I said I think they might be." She says slapping him on the head. "I wasn't sure now I'm confused too, because he treats her in a way I thought was impossible for him to do."

They are absolute imbeciles. I pinch the bridge of my nose and close my eyes.

"We're not related. I treat her in a different way because of my cousin. He was a bad person and he hurt her. I've made it my job to take care of her alright?" I say.

"Oh." Claude mutters. He starts to fiddle with his thumbs.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions Felix. That's on me." Allegra says. One of the things you've always admired about her she's never been too afraid to admit when she's wrong.

"It's alright Ali. I'm going to go to bed now, we have tutor at 8 tomorrow morning. You're giving Mari the tour tomorrow right?" I ask Ali.

"Yeah, Claude and I are in charge of showing her around." She replies.

"Alright thanks goodnight guys." I walk to my bedroom door and walk in.
