The man comes through the door with a tv on a cart, like the ones they used to bring in for movies during school. He turns it on and leaves.
The news plays and a woman anchor begins to speak.

"Breaking news the man discovered in Red River earlier this week has been identified as Mark Jenson the man who has been missing for months. The police are looking for the lead suspect his wife Karissa Jenson. They believe she has skipped town with her son Jack Jenson when she knew the police were getting close to making an arrest. If you have any information on either of Karissa or Jack's whereabouts please call the hotline on the bottom of the screen."

I stare at the screen in disbelief. I want to cry but I feel so numb. Even if I get out of here I will go to jail for life and I'll be stuck in a different kind of prison but anywhere is better than here. The news continues to play on an endless loop over and over again. I think it's a tape recording there is no date on the screen so I don't know how old it is.

The man comes back but this time he isn't wearing a mask and he begins to speak. "You truly made it too easy for me Karissa. When I heard your voice over the phone and it was the sweetest sound I ever heard and I knew I had to have you. You were just as beautiful as I imagined when I seen you after your first call. You never recognized me this whole. It was so hard for me not to take you sooner when Mark started to beat you I always wished it were me doing it but I knew I had to be patient for this to work. Then one night I was watching you from the trees and I seen you drag the tarp out of your basement. I followed you to Red River and watched you dump Mark's body in the river. I started sending you those notes because I wanted you to know we would be together soon, now that you were free for me to take. You took care of the issue for me when you killed Mark. After I got rid of your car I dove into the river and unsecured Mark from those rocks for them to discover his body. I wish you could have seen the look on little ole Artie boys face when we discovered you had "skipped town" he really did like you Karissa, it's a shame he will never have the chance to get you. It doesn't matter you won't go to jail because you are never leaving me. You'll be down here until I get sick of you and kill you." I am trying to process the information but I can't comprehend the words. That's why he came in without the mask I am never getting out of here. I'm gonna die down here. I realized that the moment I seen him, Officer Davis Williams.
