The college garden buzzed with activity, students immersed in conversations, laughter, and the vibrant energy of campus life. Jungkook and Eunwoo found themselves seated on a bench, sharing light banter and laughter as the sun dipped below the horizon.
Eunwoo, his charismatic charm in full display, entertained Jungkook with amusing and funny stories. The genuine laughter that escaped Jungkook's lips echoed in the calm setting, creating a momentary escape from the complexities that sneaking beneath the surface.
As the conversation flowed, Eunwoo's gaze met Jungkook's, his eyes gleaming with a mischievous spark. "Hey, Jungkook, how about we continue the fun at my place? I have Overwatch, and I've been itching for some gaming. What do you say?"
Jungkook hesitated, glancing at his watch. "Well, I have to go back to the dorm. Yugyeom is waiting for me, and I told him we'd do some work together."
Eunwoo, leaning in with a persuasive grin, countered, "Come on, Jungkook. A little gaming won't hurt, and you can always catch up with Yugyeom later. We'll have a blast."
Despite Jungkook's initial reluctance, Eunwoo's charm and the promise of a fun evening convinced him. "Alright, fine. But just for a bit. I have to get back to the dorm later."
Eunwoo's eyes lit up with triumph, and they both stood, ready to embark on an interesting gaming session. Yugyeom had been trying to reach him on his phone. As it buzzed in his pocket, Jungkook hesitated for a moment but ultimately chose to ignore the call.
Answering Eunwoo's infectious enthusiasm, they left the college grounds, setting out for Eunwoo's apartment. The distance from the garden to Eunwoo's place was covered with light-hearted banter and shared laughter. Little did Jungkook know that, from a distance, Taehyung observed the scene with a heavy heart.
Taehyung, hidden behind the fence, watched Jungkook and Eunwoo leave together. A pang of sadness gripped his chest, the unspoken concerns and the desire to protect his friend weighing heavily on him. He knew he couldn't control Jungkook's choices, but the fear of seeing him hurt gnawed at Taehyung's insides.
As Jungkook and Eunwoo disappeared from view, Taehyung emerged from his hiding place, his eyes reflecting a mix of frustration and resignation. He dialed Jimin's number, his voice carrying the weight of unspoken emotions. "Jimin, I just saw them leaving together. I don't know what to do anymore."
Jimin, on the other end of the line, sighed. "Tae, you've done your best. You can't force Jungkook to see what you see. Sometimes, people have to learn things the hard way. Just be there for him when he needs you."
Feeling a sense of helplessness, Taehyung decided to leave the college grounds. The night air felt heavy with unspoken truths, and he found solace in the quietude of a nearby park. Sitting on a bench, surrounded by the gentle rustle of leaves, Taehyung contemplated the intricacies of friendship and the tumultuous journey Jungkook seemed determined to undertake.
Jimin, sensing Taehyung's despondency, joined him in the park after a while. They sat together in companionable silence, the moon casting a soft glow on their surroundings.
