KIM FAMILY'S LIVING ROOM
The room is filled with warmth and laughter as the Kim family gathers for dinner. Mr. Kim,Taejun a middle-aged man with a kind smile, glances at his wife, Mrs. Kim,Hyuna before exchanging a knowing look.
Mr. Kim starts the conversation, "Hey, son, how was your day?"
The 18 year old black haired boy with Hazel eyes replied while devouring his favourite Japchae,
"It was fine, Dad. Just the usual."
Mrs.Kim also chimed in the conversation smiling,
"You know, we were thinking about your future as you have completed your school, and we have an idea that might interest you."
By raising an eyebrow Taehyung replied "What idea?"
"How about studying abroad? America, to be specific."
"What? Seriously?"
Mrs. Kim nodded while saying,
"Yes baby, we believe it could be an amazing opportunity for you. You'd get to experience a different culture, make new friends, and, of course, receive a top-notch education."
Taehyung said "But why now?"
Mr Kim replied,"Well, we've been talking to some friends, and they highly recommended this fantastic university in America. We thought you might want to apply."
Taehyung being suspicious asked,
"Did you apply for me?"
While avoiding eye contact they replied ,"Well, we might have taken the liberty to fill out an application for you. And, surprise! You've been accepted!"
"What? When did you do that?"
"We wanted it to be a surprise. You'll be leaving for America next week."
Taehyung replied while stammering,
"But... I wasn't ready for this. I didn't even consider studying abroad."
Taking her baby's hand softly in her hands Mrs. Kim said while looking towards him with teary eyes ,"We just wan- want what's best for you, sweetheart, aft.. after you are all we have n..now."
"Mom but I... I need time to process this. After hyung I don.. don't think you'll be alright with me not being here with yo..you."
Mr.kim intertwined,
"Take your time buddy, but know that we believe in you, and we're here to support you every step of the way and don't worry about your Mom , Papa is always here for her. you just focus to study hard and our company to new heights."
Tae just replied, " Okay I'll think about it and tell you guys. Now lemme eat Chim will be here to take me with him in 10 minutes."
The Kim family continues their dinner, the air filled with a mix of excitement and uncertainty about the unexpected journey awaiting their son in America.
