.......
I wanted to talk about it.
Damn it.
I wanted to scream. I wanted to yell. I wanted to shout about it. But all I could do was whisper,
"I'm fine.".......
(Back to the day when Jungkook tried to jump off the balcony.)
Jungkook slowly opened his eyes to find himself in a warm and unfamiliar room. The soft glow of the morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a gentle light on the simple yet cozy surroundings. As his senses adjusted, he realized he was in Uncle Choi's house, his neighbor who had intervened just in time to prevent him from making a grave mistake.
Uncle Choi, a middle-aged man with kind eyes and a salt-and-pepper beard, entered the room with a tray of steaming porridge. "Good morning, Jungkook. How are you feeling?" he asked, concern etched across his face.
Jungkook hesitated before replying, "I... I don't know. I guess I was just lost."
Uncle Choi sat down next to him, placing the tray on the bedside table. "Sometimes, we all get lost in the dark. But the important thing is that you're here now, and we're here for you."
His wife, Mrs. Choi, entered the room carrying a cup of tea. "We were worried about you, Jungkook. You're not alone in this journey called life and you know your grandmother will always live here,in your heart." she added, her voice filled with warmth.
As they sat together, Uncle Choi and his wife shared stories of their own struggles, emphasizing the resilience they had discovered through the support of friends and family. They spoke about the importance of cherishing life and finding purpose in the midst of challenges.
"We've seen you from across the fence, Jungkook," Uncle Choi said. "We know you're going through a tough time, but you don't have to face it alone. We care about you."
Jungkook listened, his initial reluctance softening as he felt a genuine connection with his neighbors. Their words resonated with him, and he realized that perhaps he had underestimated the power of human connection.
Uncle Choi offered, "You know, Jungkook, you're welcome to stay with us for as long as you need. We want to help you find your way back, and we believe in your potential."
Jungkook, touched by their sincerity, replied, "I appreciate your kindness, but I don't want to impose on you."
Mrs. Choi smiled gently. "It's not an imposition. We see you as family, and families support each other. You're not alone, Jungkook."
After a thoughtful pause, Jungkook finally nodded. "Thank you, both of you. I'll accept your offer. Maybe being surrounded by caring people is what I need right now."
Over the following days, Jungkook found solace in the Choi household. As he embraced their genuine care and support, he began to rediscover a sense of purpose and belonging. The Chois, in turn, were fulfilled by the opportunity to make a positive impact on a young life. Together, they embarked on a journey of healing, proving that sometimes, the support of unexpected friends can illuminate even the darkest paths.
.....
Two years had passed since Jungkook found refuge in the warmth of the Choi household. The once-empty room now bore traces of his presence – a guitar leaned against the wall, books lined the shelves, and a desk was cluttered with sketches and notebooks. Uncle Choi and his wife had become like surrogate parents to him, offering guidance and unconditional support.
