A long time ago, there was an island known as the island of Sodor, which is known as a railway that still uses steam engines while the rest of the world uses diesels. Near the beginning of the railway, there were very few steam engines, one of which was run by Lucario named Hiro, who was also known as 'Master of the Railway'. Another Pokémon working there at the time was an Umbreon named Burnett Stone, who used a tank engine that was magical. There were not a lot of ways to collect materials from the mainland to the island as the docks were still in need of work, so the best and fastest way was a magic railroad that gets it's magic from Mr Stone's engine. Unfortunately, there was a Pokémon that wanted to destroy all steam engines, and that Pokémon was a Mewtwo named PT Boomer, who was Stone's evil rival and enemy. PT Boomer tried to get rid of the magic of both Sodor and the Steam engines by taking out Stone's engine, but Hiro was able to stop him before that could happen, unfortunately, Stone's engine was badly damaged as it went too fast and crashed. Stone decided to leave Sodor and go a secret workshop in order fix up the engine and keep it safe from Boomer until the time the engine is needed again. As time went on, the railway was in control of a man named Sir Topham Hatt, and a few new Pokémon drivers came around. The first was a young blue Mew named Thomas B. Mew, who uses a blue tank engine with the number 1 on it, and it had six small wheels, a short stumpy funnel, a short stumpy boiler and a short stumpy dome. The second was a Butterfree named Edward with a blue tender engine with a number 2 on it. The third was a Bulbasaur named Henry with a green tender engine with the number 3 on it. The forth was Gordon the Blastoise, who had the biggest tender engine on Sodor besides Hiro's, with the number 4 on it. The fifth was a Charmeleon named James, with a red tender engine with the number 5 on it. The sixth was Percy, a green colored Eevee with a small green tank engine with the number 6 on it. The last one was a Raichu named Toby with a brown stream tram engine with the number 7 on it. Now Thomas wanted to see more of Sodor than just the station, but he still had a lot to learn before doing it, like making sure not to leave coaches behind or perhaps messing with freight cars for example. But he managed to get his chance after helping James from his accident with his own freight train, and managed to earn his very own branch line. Although Sodor is known to have Steam engines, there are a few Diesels drivers, like Mavis the Sneasel for example, or Salty the Buizel. Thomas also happens to have little sisters named Annie and Clarabel, who are both Buneary as their mom, who adopted Thomas when he was an egg, was a Lopunny. One might believe that the magic on Sodor will never go away, but what would happen if it does, well that's where this story begins.
