Two and a half months later:
It had been two and a half months since Christian visited Mia's apartment and less than that since she had talked with Stella. Despite Christian and Mia's severed relationship, Stella had talked to her like nothing between the siblings had happened. Of course, they spent more time away from each other than before but the rare times they'd talked on the phone about Stella's wedding plans, it was normal. It helped that Christian had her go over to Mia's apartment to drop off the rest of her things. She'd give him the credit for that.
Stella and Christian both didn't know that Mia had a girlfriend despite the few times she and Stella had spoke on the phone. Mia wasn't sure how they'd react. Asher was one thing, but she was an entirely different story. She was the only girl in their immediate family now, the only one who could even have kids from the line of Torres'. She didn't know why that would matter. She never cared before as she was set on the idea of never having kids.
Bringing her back to reality, Stella spoke up, "how do I look?" Her mother had just finished her makeup.
"You look so pretty," Mia said with a smile.
Stella smiled wide, "thank you. I'm glad you could be my bridesmaid."
"I'm glad to be here." She said. She meant it genuinely. She loved Stella like a sister. In many ways, she healed the hole in heart that Camille's death left.
Mia watched as Stella looked back at herself in the mirror. Her chocolate brown hair tied into a beautiful, wavy low bun as her mother put a long veil over her head. She looked like a princess, with her flawless makeup, slicked back hair, and veil. Stella was always put together but never this put together. After all, her job as a therapist required it. Her lips were painted mauve, matching her blush.
Mia turned her eyes away from Stella and looked at herself. She had her hair half down and curled. Her makeup was flawless, with a chocolate brown crease and gold lid, her dark eyes popped. She almost didn't recognize herself. It was the prettiest she had felt in months. Her red silk dress complimented her curves and her tanned skin. She felt just as beautiful. It was a first for her.
"Mia?" she said in the form of a question.
"Yeah?" She questioned.
"I saved Camille a seat in the front with your siblings." She said. "I thought I'd tell you."
"That's really kind of you." She replied with a slight smile. Talking about her sister was still hard in many ways. She wasn't sure if she'd ever get over it. "Do you think she'll be there?"
"Of course, I know she'll be there, love." She smiled before pulling Mia into a tight and warm hug.

Mia stood in a line with Stella's friends as they waited for Stella to walk down the aisle. It was a beautiful wedding, her soon to be sister in law had paid intricate detail into each aspect of everything. From the bridesmaid bouquet, to the chairs their family sat in, to the gazebo they'd get married under; it was all beautiful.
Pulling her from amazement of the surroundings, music began to play and Stella came out arm and arm with her father. Her gown was pearl white, with lace detailings on the corset and sleeves, and the rest was silk.
