Alhaitham has been 'crushing' on Kaveh since the day he met him. At first, he didn't realize it since he was in denial. Nobody close to him ever explained to him what he was feeling. He came to terms with his feelings almost a year later. He caught himself wanting to kiss Kaveh and hold his hand for all of eternity.
But now that he's 3 years in high school... Those feelings are even worse than before. Now he catches himself, wanting to kiss him. Make love to him-🤨 Hold his hands... His feelings did not improve in the slightest.
At the moment, Kaveh's helping him with his math homework during lunch. He does his best not to look directly at his lip and only look at his eyes when he speaks. This proves to be a challenge, and sometimes, he does it without noticing.
At the end of their 'tutoring' session, Kaveh brings up Valentines Day.
"It's Valentines Day pretty soon... Do you have a valentine?~"
Kaveh asked teasingly while nudging Alhaitham. Alhaitham avoided looking at Kaveh and looked at the ground.
"No."
He said bluntly. Kaveh looked at him in disbeleif. He sighed.
"I'm sure you have one, but you're not telling me!"
Alhaitham rolled his eyes. Kaveh stopped asking him those questions, and they stayed in silence for a bit. They both parted ways to go to their classes.
During Alhaitham's classes, he couldn't stop thinking about Valentines Day. Even tho he wanted to give Kaveh a letter, he knew he'd be shadowed by a mountain of letters from other people. from much more attractive people and cooler people than him.
But... what if Kaveh read the letter and rejected him. Alhaitham would lose his one and only friend... He couldn't risk that. And if he wanted to send an anonymous letter, Kaveh would probably recognize his handwriting... Every possibility he thought of had a problem. But then he remembered Kaveh was his senior. Wouldn't it be weird for Kaveh to date a guy in 9th grade while he was in 11th grade??????
Of course, Alhaitham was just finding excuses since he was too scared. Kaveh was the most perfect person in his eyes. Even though he was very dramatic and sensitive, it added something in his personality that intrigued Alhaitham.
At the end of the class, Alhaitham went to his last class and tried to distract himself. He read a book, he listened to the teacher, and he worked. But it was still in the back of his mind. When class was done, he was gonna go to his locker when he saw two people advertising something with a crowd of people.
"Last chance to write an anonymous letter to your Valentine! Last chance!"
Alhaitham walked through the crowd and saw a guy and a girl promoting those letters. There was a sign that said Valentine's Day Committee. Alhaitham had never thought that existed, and to be honest, he thought it was dumb. But when the crowd dispersed, he went to write the letter. He told the two people the number for the locker and left quickly. His heart was racing, and he couldn't believe he was sending Kaveh a letter. He was cringing, but deep down, he was very excited for tomorrow.
