"Love." I'm waken by Ama's soothing voice. Once again two bowl in her hand.
The smell of something that isn't porridge hits my nose and I'm immediately nauseous. I cover my mouth and quickly rush out of the hut before hurling to the side.
Ama is out quickly and rubs my back as I finish empty my stomach, which already holds nothing.
"I'm sorry love, I thought maybe eggs would be tolerable. It must be tiring having to eat porridge everyday." She mutters.
"It is alright, I will still eat them. It has been quite sometime since I've had eggs, I do thank you." I smile at her.
She walks me back in with an arm around my waist and gives me a cloth to clean my mouth. I rinse my mouth with the pot of fresh water kept inside.
I set down and take my bowl and cup of water from her.
We eat together in quiet and I savor the meal as we listen to the sounds of the morning birds.
When we've finished Ama puts our cups and bowls away to be cleaned later. We then leave for our morning bathing after gathering everything.
"You are ready for our ride?" Ama asks as she finishes combing her hair.
Today we are going for a horse ride and I must say I am quite excited, I have been since yesterday. I enjoyed finishing up our cups, the one I did on my own turned out to be... usable. It isn't as nice looking as the one Ama helped make but she assured that I would improve my skill in time.
"Yes." I reply with a smile. At that we leave her hut and make our way to the horses.
"When did you learn to ride horses?" I ask as we walk.
She smiles as she looks off into the distance. "My father taught me when I was seven or so. He would often take me for rides with him and would let me take the reigns most of the time. So, by the time I was ten I could ride on my own."
"Oh, quite impressive for that age."
She hums with a smile.
We reach the horses and find Svnoyi with what I assume to be Danuwoa's chosen white Stallion.
Ama opens the gate, allowing me to walk in first before closing it behind us.
I follow behind her to Svnoyi. Once we reach him she reaches out a hand to pet his snout and he huffs, ears twitching happily.
She grabs his reigns and begins walking him to the gate. "Come on boy."
He follows, as do I.
Once we're outside the gate, she closes it back then smiles at me. "I'll help you up. Put a foot here." She points at the stirrup.
I put my foot on it and hoist myself a bit then Ama gives me the push that I need to swing my other foot over.
Once I'm up Ama follows, easily hoisting herself up and sitting in front of me. She takes the rings and looks back to me with a smile. "Wrap your arms around me, hold on tight."
I do just that.
With me holding on to her she gives Svnoyi's belly a slight tap with her feet and he begins trouting.
"Where are we going?" I ask.
"Everywhere." I hear her smirk though unable to see it.
She squeezes him with her legs and he goes into a gallop. Our hair flowing back as he takes us through the woods, weaving through the trees as easy as the breeze.
We ride but I must say it doesn't take us long to reach the flower field, which she takes us beyond.
The valley seeming to go on forever as we ride, something I never noticed. I take in the sight of the distant mountains which are merely blurs with the speed we are going.
