Where are you? [REVAMP] - HAECHAN

Chapter 5

Mark was stunned in his place, he couldn't even take a step towards them when the guilt washed him over, the fact that this concern that they had a few days ago actually happened before their eyes and it was all because of him.

"What can we do!? How can we find him!? What if anything happens to him!!?" Jungwoo franticly asks as the leader is in deep thought. Yuta tries to calm him down. "What if we just tell manager hyung?" he suggests but Taeyong looks away.

"This problem is bigger than it is, it's not like Haechan just suddenly got up and gone, he already showed red flags even before it happened. We should have told him before that, it is our fault, and we should be responsible for it" Taeyong sighed deeply, his words were painful for Mark to hear, it was his fault.

"What about the police?" Taeil asks and Johnny shakes his head.

"Haechan is a grown-up, they wouldn't think he got kidnap or something, it's just us now"

"Well, let's search around the neighborhood, he might not go way too far, probably at the park" Doyoung suggests and they agreed, getting up to get ready to search for their missing member.

Mark is unable to look up to face his hyungs and Taeyong notices him cowered all alone. He brings him over for a hug.

"It's not your fault" he shushes him, soothing down the now shaking boy in his arms.

"I'm the one at fault hyung, I thought he would be okay" he cries on his shoulder and Taeyong too is upset over the situation, they all thought they did what was best for him but turns out it was not.

"Mark, even more than myself, I know how worried and hurt you are over this situation but you need to be strong, hyuck needs you to be strong for him, we will find him alright. We will" Mark gathered himself together before he looked at Taeyong with tears running down his face.

"I will bring hyuck home, I will"

That morning they went all over their neighborhood in search of Haechan. They look high and low but only to find none. They went back to their place with sullen looks. Everyone was tired, they all took a breather for a second as they gathered in the living room with Johhny on his phone crossing X's on places that they went.

"He's not within our neighborhood area" Johnny said worried as the others tried to figure out where he went.

"Did he probably go to his friend's house?" Jaehyun asks

"I could make the calls for that asking if he was there with them, should we call his family too?" Doyoung asks and Yuta shakes his head disagreeing.

"That's as if we are telling our manager that we lost our member, no, even worse than that, their son is missing! We will make them worry sick" he emphasized.

"It's okay, I could just go and see them by myself, watching from afar if there's any trace of Haechan staying with them. Just list out all his friends' houses and also his family place, I will go" Mark said and all of them looked at him concerned.

"That's many places to go, Mark. Let's divide" Jaehyun suggests and Mark was quick to say no.

"I have to see him with my own eyes that he's okay"

"Mark –" Johnny tries to calm him down, he knows how scared he is right now.

"No hyung, it's my fault that I let him be when he was supposed to get treated. I will own up to my mistake" Taeyong tries to stop him from feeling that way when his phone suddenly rings.

Everyone had their eyes on his phone.

"Is it the manager?" Taeil asks nervously as Taeyong looks over and it's an unsaved number. That makes them more scared. He cautiously answers the call.

"H-Hello?"

"Hello, is this Lee Taeyong ?"

"Y-yes? May I know who is this?"

"We're calling from the hospital and I have here, Lee Donghyuck-sshi at our hospital ward. He was seen in the parking lot behind the boxes this morning. The nurse that found him thought he was a runaway patient so he took him in, and only then were we able to search for his belongings and find his phone"

"Oh god" a sigh of relief escaped him, he turned around to his anxious members.

"They found him"
