The disarray was too much. It was everywhere and beyond control.

Once, the ballroom of the palace used to be filled with attractive tunes, of melodious sounds that could pull someone in a fleeting relaxing state of astonishment whilst accompanied by their partners. Gaiety and colors there were, laughter and merriment would echo beyond the doors.

But today, the floor-length extravagant curtains were torn to the ground, shattered decorations and unconscious gallant men in their armors and helms, their weapons clattered from reach. The coppery, tangy stench of blood and burning floated not only in the ballroom but everywhere in the once, gorgeous white palace.

Agonizing wails, cries for help, and groans of pain were hard to ignore. Each one gave their all to fight, to defend the haven they knew yet most fell and lost their lives in an instant.

Manic laughter spread, whoever owned such honeyed laughter found a total pleasure in the expense of everyone dying and hurting at this moment.

Hurried steps quickened, and the figure had tears streaming in those inhumane pair of crimson eyes but they told themselves to remain strong or they would fail like the rest. Unconscious in the arms of this fleeing figure was another—draped with a satin pink sheet, as if to shield that sleeping person from the mayhem.

A raven flew next to the fleeing figure, it shifted quickly into a tall man with jet black hair with a staff, one quick wave of his staff and some thick thorns appeared to act as a block in the hallway in hopes of slowing down the foreboding threat in the palace. "In the high tower, that's where Maleficent kept the magical spindle!"

"We need to go there and perform the magic she taught us, Diaval"

"...Are you certain you want to do this? There is no turning back, it will consume all our magic affinity"

"You do not have to do this, I don't want you to be put in danger because of me"

"I will not abandon you! Should Mistress be here, she would be disappointed if I'd left you on your own. I am going to help you do the magic, to make this successful even if it costs both our lives"

"Oh Diaval...!"

"I'll never regret anything with you"

Both of them glanced down at the sleeping figure being carried, all of this was for this important person, and like what Diaval said, there would be no regret at what was to come.

"I love you and will always do no matter what timeline you are from, my heart will only beat for the same man. There is no difference between the me of the past, the future, or a different reality branch. We are all connected by love and hope"
