Chapter 11- Hero

3rd person POV

Peter had just gotten into his room by his window and had thrown his mask off and instantly crashed onto his bed exhausted

"Dude! You were insane! I told you that you could be a hero and you were a hero." Ned said while handing over a glass of water towards Peter

"Not yet." Peter said after he jugged down the entire glass off water he was just given which shocked Ned

"What do you mean?" Ned asked confused

"That lizard is still out there, do you have any more water?" Peter asked while looking around

"I mean this was mine but you can have this." Ned said as he passed him his glass of water which received a 'thanks' from Peter

"Are you actually thinking about taking down that Lizard?" Ned said with a small smile

Peter started to jug the water down and after putting the empty glass down he answered Ned's question "I have to. If I don't then people will get hurt, you're the one who told me that, I need to be a hero so that is what I am doing. My job."

"I don't suppose you got any idea on how to track down a lizard?" Ned asks

"I don't. But I might know someone who might."

"Who?"

"We will go see him tomorrow morning because it's late so he probably will be asleep by now." Peter says as he looks at the time

"Are you sure it is fine if I stay overnight?" Ned asks being paranoid again

"Yes!" Peter says with a laugh "You have been over countless of times and it's already late in the night so why would May kick you out now?" Peter asks to which Ned couldn't think of an answer so he shrugged his shoulders

"Let's go get a midnight snack or should I say past midnight snack now." Peter says with a chuckle as it was 1 in the morning

"Yeah I could go for food." Ned says as he follows him out of his room and as they were about to walk into the kitchen they seen May coming through the main door in her nurse clothes.

"Hey Aunt May." Peter says as he walked towards his aunt to hug her and as they hugged and pulled away she noticed Ned and Ned spoke up

"Hey May." Ned politely greeted her

"Hey Ned, how are you?" May said with a polite smile

"I'm good." Ned said

"How was your first day being back at work?" Peter asks May

"It was good, it is a lot more stressful than my volunteering job at F.E.A.S.T but it was a good stress." May says with a light chuckle

"Well that's good?" Peter says a bit unsure

"How can stress be good?" Ned muttered quietly but Peter was the only to hear due to his being dialled up.

"What have you been up to?" Msg asks the boys

"Oh just playing with Lego." Peter and Ned said unison to which they both high five'd completely forgetting about May being there.

"Right?" May said while looking between the two "Well I'm going to go to my bed and sleep until the year 3000." May said in a tone what sounded serious

"Ok goodnight?" Peter said confused then chuckled nervously

"Goodnight May." Ned shouted down the hall to her.

Peter and Ned then went into the kitchen and filled their arms up with food and a couple of drinks and then returned to Peter's Spider-Cave.
