Chapter 4 ~ Sleepover

We all get ready for bed and sit in a comfortable silence for a few moments while we think of ideas. "Watch a movie! Watch a movie!" Karen exclaims. "I'm down, what movie?" Gretchen asks. "How about 'The Conjuring'?" I suggest everyone agreeing except for Regina as she vigorously shakes her head no. "Why not? Is THE Regina George scared?" I ask. "Pfft no, why would I be scared? It's fine, let's just.. Get ready for bed." She snapped.

~~~~Everyone takes their turn in the bathroom getting changed and ready for the movie~~~

We don't get any snacks or anything since we picked up this place called Chipotle on the way home, and we're all just going to go to bed after the movie anyway. Karen and Gretchen get settled on their pull out while Cady gets on the mattress, leaving Regina and I to get in. She gets in and under the covers. "Well are you going to get in or are you just going to stand there and be awkward?" "Sorry.. I just-" "Stop apologizing, and get in Y/n." The way she says my name. Oh my God. I get into her bed and under the covers. She grabs her remote and puts the movie on.

A jump scare came on the screen causing everyone to jump, Regina getting scared the most. Everyone was so focused on the movie that they didn't realize that as Regina jumped, she grabbed my arm and tucked her head into my shoulder. I didn't move. She gave me an embarrassed look as she shot up from the position she was previously in, acting like nothing happened. I also had to act like nothing happened because.. oh my. I could tell I was blushing at the thought of what just happened. Thankfully it went away fairly quickly.

The movie was almost over. I look over to my left to see who's still awake. Karen and Gretchen are out, and Cady is still awake on her phone not even paying attention to the movie. I look over at Regina to see if she's still awake, but to my surprise she's already looking at me. She looks away almost immediately and back to the TV like I didn't just catch her staring. But I don't think too much of it. All of a sudden I get a text from Cady.

Ginger: She definitely likes you

Y/n: What are you talking about Cady 😭

Ginger: She was looking at you for like.. idk a long time??!!

Y/n: I doubt it Cady, I mean.. She hardly knows me.

Ginger: Whateverrrr. I'm going to bed loser. Sleep good 😏😉

Y/n: Omg you're so weird. Goodnight 😭

Shortly after I send the text, I look over at Cady and she's out like a light. "Hey I think I'm going to go to bed, everyone else is asleep so I might as well go to bed too." I softly say to Regina. "Okay, I'll just be on my phone for a bit.." She grabs her remote and turns the TV off leaving a softly lit room. "..Night." She says barely above a whisper. "Good night.." I whisper back. I roll over to where my back is facing Regina, and my front is towards the pull out. I hear her get adjusted next to me to where her back is facing my back, and her front facing the other wall.

After a while, I start to get pretty cold. I always get really cold at night, hence why I have a million blankets on my bed at home. But I'm not at home.. I'm at Regina's. I begin to shiver a little and try to stop it but I can't. I hear Regina roll over and slightly sit up. "Y/n?" She pauses waiting for a response. "Y/n are you okay?" She asks softly. I don't give a response. "Y/n?.." She asks, except more stern this time. I sigh in defeat and turn around slightly. "Yeah, I-I'm fine, just a little cold that's all. I'll be o-okay tho-" "Why didn't you say something earlier?" She cuts me off with concern in her voice. She starts to get up but I grab her hand before she gets up. "Regina.. I'm okay I promise." I give her a look reassuring her I'm okay before letting go of her hand. She looks at me surprised and I notice a slight pink to her cheeks. She nods and lays back down, and I roll back over still slightly shivering.
