Chapter 5 ~ Tutoring

These pasts few weeks of school have been going by great. Grades are good, haven't gotten in trouble yet. The girls and I have been hanging out after school almost everyday. Regina asked me to tutor her with chemistry, it was kind of out of the ordinary because we don't have the class together, but it's okay. When I go over to her house, I stay later than the other girls every Tuesday and Thursday to tutor Regina. Life is good. Only downside is my feelings for Regina kept getting stronger but I could hide it well.

I head into english class and wave to Gretchen and Karen who sit across the classroom. "Hey Y/n, can you come here for a second?!" Gretchen asks eagerly. I nod and head over the her and Karen. "What's up?" I ask interested. "So basically your sister's little boy toy right, his friend is having a halloween party and we were just wondering if you wanted to come?" She looks at Karen who already has a big smile on her face staring at me with excitement. "As much as I want to, I'm not really a party person." I say probably disappointing them. "That's okay you'll be with us and Regina!! And, we'll help you pick a costume!" "Yeah!" Karen exclaimed just following along. I hesitate to respond as they both start giving me the puppy dog eyes. "I'll think about it okay?" I mean who knows, maybe I should go. I could meet some new people.

I suddenly get added to a group chat with Karen, Gretchen, Cady, and Regina.

Gretchen: Hey guys!! I made a group chat so we know what's going on with the halloween party!

Cady: Okay sounds good, Aaron invited me!!

Gretchen: ..

Regina: Which Aaron?

Cady: Uh.. Samules

Regina: Oh..

Karen: Y/n ar yu goeeng to the partee?!

Y/n: Idk yet Karen, like I said I'm not a party person but it could be fun, I'll lyk by the end of class

Karen: Yay!!

Love her. Karen may be kind of stupid but she's the best. The teacher comes in and tells everyone to put their phones away. She doesn't feel like talking today so she wants us to open our text books, read the story on page 983, and answer the questions and we'll go over them tomorrow.

I finish the assignment early, so I have 30 minutes of free time. I ask if I could be on my phone and thankfully my teacher said yes. I send Karen and Gretchen the answers and they thank me. I text Gretchen outside of the group chat

Y/n: Wait, you said you'd get me a costume for the party?

Gretch🎀: Yeah, Karen and I can take you to the store with us either today or tomorrow and get our stuff. That is if you decided to go ofc.

Y/n: Yeah I guess I'll go, can we go tomorrow though? Because I need to study for a chem test that's tomorrow with Gina tonight.

Gretch🎀: Yes ofc!! I'm so excited!! Gina? As in Regina?

Y/n: Me too. Honestly Idek if I wanna go, but yes.. Gina as in Regina.
