Chapter 3 ~ Get in Losers

Y/n Pov:

Cady and I finally find our health classroom, and thankfully he lets us sit anywhere in the room so Cady and I go to the back. We sit down while we wait for other people to come in. Cady gives me that stupid look.. Again. "What are you looking at?!" I whisper yell at her. "Y/n Herron has a crush on Regina George?" "What are you talking about?" We whisper back and forth.  "You're my sister Y/n, I see the way you look at her, you blushed every time she looked at you, or at least when you were having a conversation with her." I go silent. I can't deny it.

More people started to flood into the classroom. Of course our first unit is about sex and abstinence. Talk about a first day. I've never been too worried about getting pregnant because if it wasn't obvious already, I'm gay.

~Cady was the first person I told which was in 8th grade. My dad and mom still don't know. I'm just scared to tell them.~

All I could think about for the remainder of class was Regina. I know that's terrible because it wasn't even a full day of school and I was already head over heels for this girl I hardly even know. I'm getting in my own head. Cady glanced over at me a few times before handing me a slip of folded paper with her writing on it that said 'You okay?' I fold the paper back up, put it in my pocket and give Cady a nod assuring her that I'm okay.

~~~~Time skip to after school~~~~

Before I knew it, my day was over. I discovered I have my last period (Government) with Regina. I sit at the front and she sits at the back. We finished our assignment early, so we decided to talk for the last 10 minutes. I went to her seat of course because she didn't want to get up. I was a nervous wreck the entire time but I didn't make it too obvious. Regina and I walked out together and waited by her car for the other girls. I was starting to get into my own head again until Regina snapped me out of it. "You're funny Y/n, I like you. I can tell we're gonna get along great." You shyly smile, "Thanks, and I bet we will." Cady walked out with Gretchen and Karen. The three 'Plastics' get in almost immediately then Regina looks out her window at Cady and I. "Get in losers." She says giving a little smirk at us, specifically me, looking me up and down. And of course Cady being the idiot she is, gives me that stupid look. I roll my eyes and get in Regina's car. With Regina and Gretchen in the front, Karen in the middle of Cady and I in the back, we head to Regina's house before we go to the mall.

After about 5 minutes we arrive at Regina's— mansion?! This is easily the biggest house I've ever seen. "Wow" I say in awe "This is your house?" My comment makes her giggle a bit. Her giggle is now in my list of top 5 favorite things. "Yeah it is." I just look back at her house in shock. She pulls into her drive way and we all get out. She walks up to her door opening it and is already heading upstairs along with Gretchen and Karen not too far behind. "Hey my best girlfriends!!" Her mother said. I assume it's her mother? "Hi Mrs. George!" Gretchen said running back downstairs a bit to give her a hug. Yep. It's her mom. "You have a lovely house Mrs. George." Cady said. I nod my head in agreement. "I know right?" Regina answers for her mom. "Mom go make snacks." "For sure, for sure Regina." Off her mom went getting snacks for us. Usually I would hate people who are disrespectful to their parents but, it's Regina so I guess I can't be upset.

We all go up what feels like millions of stairs and finally reach Regina's room. "This is your room?" Cady asks surprised. "Yeah, it used to be my parents, but I made them trade me." She says sitting down taking off her shoes placing them on the ground. She gets up again "I'm going to check on our snacks. Brb!" She leaves closing the door.

"So Cady? Y/n? See any boys that you think are cute?" Gretchen said. "Well there's this one boy in my calculus class" Cady shyly says. "Ooo a senior. What's his name?" "Aaron Samuels" "NO YOU CANNOT LIKE AARON SAMUELS THAT'S REGINA'S EX BOYFRIEND THATS GOING AGAINST THE RULES OF FEMINISM!!" "Bad. Bad. Bad. Danger. Danger." Karen and Gretchen both whisper yell so Regina didn't hear from downstairs. "Okay, okay, fine, I won't try anything" Cady says defensively. "Don't worry we won't tell anyone, right Karen?" "Nope. not a soul." "So Y/n? What about you?" Gretchen asked me curiously. "Oh you know, nobody's really caught my eye yet." I lie. "Oh come on there has to be someone!" Karen says. "Oh she doesn't really find interest in guys-" Cady blurts out the second the door opens. Great. I shoot Cady a look of anger.

Regina just stands there with a shocked look on her face. Thanks a lot Cady. We all turn our heads to look at the door. "Oh my god- I'm so sorry I probably shouldn't have said that out loud." No Cady! You really shouldn't have! Karen breaks the awkward silence by saying "It's okay guys! Because Re-" "KAREN! Zip it." Regina snaps. "Right, sorry." Karen goes back to fiddling with her hair and staring off into space. Gotta love her. Cady and I give Regina a confused look. "Don't worry about it. Let's just go. I told my mom to not worry about the snacks and I'll just get us food either at the mall or on the way back." She storms out of her room

~~~~Time skip to the mall~~~~

We all get out of the car and start to head inside while Gretchen starts talking to us about all the places at the mall and where we're going to go and what we're going to do before she practically gets yelled at by Regina to stop talking. After that, Gretchen goes quiet and sort of lingers towards the back of the group.

I fall back a bit while Cady, Karen, and Regina are a few steps in front of us. "I think you were very helpful." I put a hand on Gretchen's shoulder and smile. "Thanks Y/n.." She looks back down at her feet. I rub her back in a comforting way and I tell her a funny story about my childhood to try and cheer her up, thankfully it works. She lets out a small laugh causing Regina to glare back at us. Cady looked at Regina, then me , then fixates on Regina on last time before looking away. Regina also scoffs and looks away slightly speeding up. "Cady do you and Y/n just want to stay at my house tonight? We won't get back until.. ugh I don't know.. just text your mom and tell her you're staying." Regina grumbles.

We go into lots of stores. Cady and I had Karen and Gretchen help us pick an outfit for tomorrow. We also bought pajamas for tonight. Well, we didn't buy them, Regina did. We obviously thanked her for everything though. We exited the mall and got back into Regina's car and headed back to her house.

We finally arrived and brought everything in. "How was the mall girls? Need help with anything?" Mrs. George asked. "Please stop talking." Regina said giving her mom a look of.. I don't even know what. "Okay. You girls let me know if you need anything!"

All of us head upstairs to Regina's room. Her room is big enough to have a pull out couch for two people and a blow up air mattress for one. "Okay so usually Gretchen and Karen sleep on the pull out, so one of you are going to have to sleep on the air mattress, and the other is going to have to sleep with me." Regina loudly says as she's blowing up the air mattress. Cady looks at me and gives me a slight smirk before looking to Regina and saying "I'll sleep on the mattress, I usually don't like sharing a bed anyway." Fuck you Cady. "Okay so Y/n you're with me?" "I-Uh- Yes, Yeah I am." She gives me a small smirk and giggles, probably because I was just stuttering. Again. "Okay now that sleeping arrangements are settled, now what should we do?" Regina asks and smiles at everyone.

This is going to be a long night.
