Chapter 2 ~ Lunch

Y/n's Pov:

My first three classes thankfully went by fairly quick (English as you know, then maths, and chemistry). I went to my locker which thankfully wasn't too far of a walk. I set all of my books in my locker and sighed. Just as I was about to close my locker I heard a familiar voice. "Nice to see we have lockers next to each other." My sister said giving me a soft smile. I give her a smile back, closing my locker after getting the stuff I would need for my last two classes. The lunch bell finally rang and Cady and I follow everyone else in the halls hoping to arrive at the cafeteria.

~~Time skip to lunch~~

Cady got her lunch, I didn't get anything because I wasn't really hungry. "Where are you going?" My sister says to me. "To the bathroom." I say as I begin walking again. She grabs my wrist "No you're not, let's go sit with my friends." "You already made friends?" I say with confusion in my voice. "Yeah they-" she gets cut off by this guy who says her name a few times and waving in his direction for her to come over to their table. I'm guessing he's one of her friends.

We reach their table and sit down.

I sit next to the guy that was waving, and Cady sits next to this girl who I assume is her friend also. "Is this your sister?" The girl next to Cady says pointing to me. "Yes she is, her name is  Y/n." "Nice to meet you Y/n." She reaches her hand out "I'm Janis." I reach my hand out and shake her hand "Nice to meet you." "That's Damian" Cady says pointing to the guy i'm sitting next to. "Hiii" He says waving at me with a smile on his face. "He's almost too gay to function." Janis says causing the four of us to laugh. She also gives us the rundown of the school and how things work.

She's going through the tables, now on the last two "..Our table's considered the 'Art Freaks', and that table.." she says in annoyance then continues "..They're called 'The Plastics'.." Her and Damian both give a death stare towards their table. "Those two girls are in my english class, th-" I say before getting cut off by Janis. "Yeah well be careful, 'The Plastics' are nothing but fake, good for nothing-" "That brown haired girl right there is Gretchen Wieners.." Damian cuts Janis off before she gets out of hand. "..She 'keeps' everyone's secrets, that's why her hair is so big. She seems really sweet but don't be fooled.." He said sternly. She can't be that bad.. right? "That one there.." He says slightly pointing at the black haired girl "..Is Karen Smith, she's probably the dumbest girl in this school." I look to where he's pointing to see the same girl from my english class putting a straw up her nose trying to drink a pop from it. Janis then interrupted. "Who you REALLY need to watch out for is-" everyone was caught off guard by the sound of clicking heels and they started to straighten up. They were all almost terrified in a way?

The heels start to approach closer, everyone was looking down at their trays including Damian and Janis. "Oh lord that's the queen bee, Don't look her in the eye." I heard Damian whisper to Cady and I. Why is everyone being so weird? Everyone's acting like there's a monster approaching or something. I look up, and Cady turns around so we can see who 'she' is and the second I do.. Oh my god. This girl is gorgeous. She has the prettiest blonde hair that perfectly falls around her face and onto her shoulders. She has beautiful green-ish blue  eyes. Everything about her is just so- "Y/n? Y/N! Earth to Y/N!" Janis says waving her hand in front of my face taking me out of my trance. "Huh? What?" Cady smiles at me with that look on her face. She's such a dork. "I was just explaining how that's Regina George and to avoid her at all costs but you were like.. zoned out or something" Janis told me with a look of seriousness. "Right, sorry. Why should I avoid her again?" I ask. "Because when her and Janis w—" "DAMIAN! Shall we not" She said defensively. "Sorry. Anyways girl, like I said she's the Queen Bee here at North Shore" "She's the worst out of all 'The Plastics'. One minute she's your friend, the next she's not. She's such a fake little-" "Janis.." Damian said calmly. I can kind of get the hint why Janis doesn't like her.

Cady asks me to go with her to throw her stuff away and I was hesitant at first because the garbage can is right by 'The Plastics' table, but eventually I said yes. I don't want her going alone. Good thing I did because the second she threw her things away we were stopped by some guy. Right in front of 'The Plastics' table. Great. "Hey we're doing a school survey, you ladies mind participating?"

"No."

"Uhh.. sure why not."

Cady and I said in unison. "Great, so do you need someone to butter your muffins?" The guy said. "What?" Cady asked him while I just stayed silent looking back at Janis and Damian. They're watching the whole thing go down. "Do you need to assign someone to butter your muffins?" He giggles hearing his friends laugh in the background. "Oh my god Jason.." I hear someone from behind us. God no. It can't be.

I turn to see her standing there. Regina George. "You don't come to a party at my house with Gretchen and skeez on the new girls right in front of me. Do you guys want to have a threesome with him?" She says looking at Cady and I.

"N-no."

"No thank you."

My sister and I both said at the same time. Of course I was the one who stuttered. Right in front of Regina George. "Okay that's what I thought. So Jason.. why don't you go sit back down and stop doing that thing where you lower your voice when you talk, it's making people really sad. Excuse me! All in favor of Jason going back to his normal speaking voice please raise your hand." She puts a hand up, everyone shortly doing the same. Wow, she really must run shit at this school. I mean I know Damian said that but it was hard to believe. "Bitch" Jason said in a high pitched voice as he walked back to his table, his friends laughing at him.

Just as Cady and I were about to turn and walk back to Janis and Damian, we're stopped by you guessed it. Regina. "Come sit." Cady and I both politely said no but she refused to take that as an answer. So eventually we sat down next to the black haired girl. Karen I think it was? "Why don't I know you girls?" She was so beautiful. "They just moved here from Africa! She's in Karen and I's english class!" Gretchen said excitedly, pointing at me. "Kenya in particular." Cady told Regina. "So fetch!" Gretchen exclaimed. "What's 'fetch'?" Regina gave her an annoyed look. "It's slang! From an old movie.." She went quiet after that. I kind of felt bad for her. "This is Y/n." Cady said shyly pointing towards me with her hands, almost presenting me to them. "You're really quiet." Regina said looking at me with strong eye contact and slightly tilting her head. "I- well- it's-" I sound like an IDIOT. COME ON. "She's just been a little stressed today, you know how first days are." Cady takes over for me. The three girls nod in response. "Nice to meet you Y/n." Regina says smiling at me. That smile. Holy shit. "Uh- yeah- nice to meet you too." I smile back.

We talk for a few more minutes until Cady and I hear a loud cough from Janis and Damian's table. We turn back and see Janis mouth "Bathroom. Now." assuming she wants to ask us why we're at 'The Plastics' table. "Will you excuse us for one second?" I say grabbing Cady's hand and walking to the bathroom. "Hey wait! Just in case we don't see you girls again today.." Cady and I turn around and head a little closer to the table. "We don't usually do this but.." Regina looks at Gretchen letting her finish the sentence, "We're letting you eat lunch with us for the rest of the week! Oh, and take you shopping after school!" Gretchen then explained the rules of the table. Rules? Damn, okay. "On Wednesdays we wear pink!" Karen exclaims. "Oh and you girls are coming, I won't take no for an answer." Regina said sternly. Cady and I finally agree and thank them, before heading to the bathroom. "Bye beautifuls!!" Karen yells waving. My sister and I smile and wave back.

We finally reach the bathroom where Janis and Damian are both there. Cady finishes sending a text to my mom explaining the plans after school. "What the hell are you doing at Regina George's table?!" Damian asks shocked. "Well- I-" Cady starts but then I take over, "Long story.. but they invited us to sit with them for the rest of the week and go shopping after school today, we said yes because Regina wasn't taking no for an answer.." Janis and Damian both give each other a look and smirk. I don't like where this is going. At all.

"Okay so here's the plan, you sit with them for the rest of the week and tell us.." pointing to her and Damian, "Everything she says!" She smiles. Cady is hesitant until I chime in, "Deal." I mean this is the only way I can try and get closer to Regina. Cady looks at me with that stupid look again. I have a feeling she knows why I said yes about 'spying' on 'The Plastics'. The lunch bell rings as we go over the plan one more time. We all walk out of the bathroom, Janis and Damian head to their class, and Cady and I head to health.
