With just 24 hours of sales, Lisa's "LS2" claimed first place on the Hanteo Weekly Chart for the week
"Congratulations Lalisa Manoban. You know, I'm so really proud of you" Mr. Yang proudly said as he raised the glass of wine on his hand for a toast "Cheers to the success of Lalisa's Album".
I just smile as I also toast the glass of wine on my hand. I am grateful for the success of my newly released Album. The whole YG production including the CEO celebrated with me on this achievements inside the YG Building.
"Congratulations" Jenny said flashing her gummy smile. I admit, Jenny has one of the biggest contribution and support towards my album.
"Thank you" I smile at her and gesture my hand for a hug which she gladly reciprocate. I honestly missed hugging her, I mean, as a friend.
"I told you, you can do it. Never doubt yourself again Manoban." She said between our hug.
"You sure a good predictor" I joke which made her chuckle.
"No. It's already a hunch" she said "I missed hugging you like this." She continued as she tighten her hug towards me. I just smile at patted her back, she's still my friend indeed.
We just pull out from the hug when Mr. Yang interrupted "Can we talk Lisa?"
I just look at him. Well, this maybe the right time for me to tell him about my decision. I know, he's been waiting on my answer, and I don't want to give him hope. Afterall, he's one of the very person who molded me for what I am today. I am somehow grateful for him, but there's always an end of the road. I am not be forever engulfed on his narcissism, though he's a good mentor, but not a good management.
"I'm sorry Mr. Yang. I don't mean to offend you in many ways but I already made up my decision" I told him as we sitted facing each other on the couch inside his office. I didn't mean to ruin the mood amid our celebration, but I think it's the right thing to do now.
"Are you not afraid of what should happen if there's no one to backed you up especially here in South Korea?"
"I honestly thought of it for millionth times, but it seems that I already made up mind."
"Ten years is not a joke, Lisa. I knew you more than anyone else"
"But you didn't knew everything about me, Mr. Yang"
"I guess, I can't change your mind anymore" He sighed in defeat. I saw an unfamiliar look on his eyes, this will be the first time seeing him lowering his eyes. For almost ten years of being under YG, I knew him as firm and undefeated especially to his decisions.
"Whatever happens Lisa, I hope you'll be strong and cautious to face everything because I'm not already on your back to clean your mess." Although it seems to be an advice, it sounds like a warning.
"Thank you sajangnim for all your help. I am be forever grateful to you" I stand and bow my head. I still have my respect at him being the CEO of YG.
"You silly, kid. Whatever you wanted to do, I know you'll be successful." His smile is different compared before, it is a smile of admiration and a father-look. "Know that I'm always here, Lisa".
