Chapter 1

Kris slept peacefully near Mother until he heard a loud yelp. Instantly, he awoke and went to investigate, his senses on high alert. As he ventured into the surrounding bushes, he noticed Thunder's towering figure nearby. "Finally, he's here!" Thunder exclaimed with a hint of happiness in his voice. Kris arched an eyebrow, curious about Thunder's excitement. Mother joined them, her weary expression transforming to one of relief. "The alpha of the new 12 legends," Mother said, her voice filled with both pride and relief. Thunder, a wise and powerful wolf, had been waiting for this moment for a long time. "Name him Thunder," Mother continued, realizing the significance of his arrival. Thunder took a deep breath, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Chen," he said, exhaling the chosen name with conviction. An unexpected surge of energy filled the air as he spoke those words, causing Thunder's ears to perk up. Sensing the presence of another, Thunder called out, "Kris, come out of the bushes. I know you are there." Kris obeyed, emerging from the shadows to stand by Mother's side, where Chen, a tiny bundle of fur, lay nestled. With a solemn expression, Thunder addressed Kris directly. "I have something important to tell you." Kris tilted his head, signaling his readiness to listen. "You have to protect him with your life." Kris felt a wave of responsibility wash over him. He understood the weight of Thunder's words and nodded in agreement. He glanced down at Chen, who looked up at him with wide, innocent eyes, tiny claws playfully tracing patterns on Kris's snout. "Aww, he loves you," Mother remarked, her voice full of warmth. Kris couldn't help but smile at Chen's affectionate display. It was a simple gesture that instantly melted his heart. "This is the start of their unbreakable bond," Thunder said, his voice filled with pride. He knew that Kris and Chen would face many challenges ahead, but he also knew that their connection would withstand any hardship.
