Did everything go well?" Hourglass asked as Earthquake returned to the playing puppies, soon after Kris joined his siblings who were frolicking on the field. "Where'd you come from?" Earthquake asked. "Oh, I needed a break and I picked this flower," Kris said, flashing a vibrant yellow bloom in his paw. "Great," Hourglass said, with a nod of approval. "Kris, did you see what Earthquake and Mother were doing?" Kris hesitated. He did know, but he kept silent about what he saw. "No, I didn't," he replied to Hourglass, trying to sound nonchalant. "Hmm, okay," Hourglass said, raising an eyebrow. He turned back to Earthquake. "To answer your question, yes, everything went as planned. In the first month of next year, I will have my son," Earthquake said proudly, patting  Kris's head. Hourglass smiled at him, a mix of happiness and anticipation dancing in his eyes. "After he's born, I'll create mine, and he'll be the best fighter anyone has ever seen," Hourglass said confidently. Earthquake growled a bit, unable to hide his envy, as Hourglass walked away. He couldn't shake off the unease he felt about Hourglass and his ambitious vision. Curiosity gnawed at Kris as he watched Earthquake from a distance, his eyes keenly observing every twitch and flick of his tail. Soon, something caught Kris's attention in the corner of his eye. It was a shimmering glimmer, a small beam of light, darting in and out of Earthquake's gaze. Intrigued, Kris followed the mysterious light, maneuvering through the tangle of grass and flowers until he stood before a hidden entrance. He hesitated for a moment, his heart pounding in his tiny chest. But his curiosity got the better of him, and he stepped into the unknown. As Kris ventured further, he found himself in a secret realm, a place untouched by time and unexplored by the ordinary. It was a world where creatures coexisted with vibrant magic, where the air hummed with ancient whispers. The source of the glimmering light revealed itself—a mystical hourglass, pulsating with an ethereal glow that illuminated the surroundings.
