【Start of the plan...】

Kidritz's Pov

 The twin's show was over soon. The entire audience has their eyes glued to the screens in front of us. It is a difficult image to process. The police dragging them away after Veneer confessed to their horrible crimes on air. The crowd that mere minutes ago was cheering for them enthusiastically has now gone completely silent.

 I turn my head slowly to meet the eyes of Orchid, who is standing next to me, but she doesn't look back at me, she continues to watch Velvet's enraged expression as she tries to fight off against the police officers. I feel sorry for her, it must be a hard blow to see the true face of her platonic love  like this... But I can't comfort her, not when I feel the same way, or worse... I thought I knew him.

I feel a stinging sensation in my chest as I see Veneer's carefree expression, who unlike his sister does not resist receiving his punishment. I can't help but wonder: Why?

Why didn't you tell me anything, Veneer? Why didn't you tell me the truth when I asked you?

I close my eyes and sigh, trying to ignore the pain of the betrayal I feel inside me. I can't keep watching this.

But my silence doesn't last long, when suddenly I feel a commotion again, some gasps. I open my eyes and look around me. I am horrified when I see what my friend has just done.

Her expression remains neutral, though she is panting slightly. She has her self-defense taser clenched in her fist, her poor victim lying on the ground, shaking. The rest of the crowd slowly moves away from her, but I remain rooted to the spot.

"Orchid...W-what have you done?" I ask, a hint of fear in my voice.

Without even answering me, she pushes me away and attacks the person behind me.

"ORCHID!!"

I panic and grab her by her arms, but she doesn't struggle, just lets her body go limp, finally satisfied with the damage she's caused. A smile forms on her face when she sees that the police, who were already on the scene, are quickly approaching us.

"What the hell is wrong with you?! Why did you do that?!" I yell at her, trying to snap her out of her trance.

She turns to look at me, and says excitedly, "This is my chance, Ritz. If I go to jail with her, I'll finally be able to confess to her!" She extends the hand with the taser, offering it to me.

"Hey, if you want we can go together. Just tase me and you'll already have an assault charge!" She points to the large bright live screen. "That way you can be with him!"

"NO!" 

I throw her weapon to the ground and grab her by the shoulders, shaking her slightly to make her see reason. "Are you listening to yourself? They are CRIMINALS. BOTH of them."

She grabs my hands, and despite the situation she looks at me with her usual optimism, letting out a laugh.

"Yes, but now I am one too!"

The cops finally catch up to us, hitting Orchid in the head from behind and handcuffing her to the ground.

"W-wait! She's not in her right mind! It was an accident, don't-!"

"Don't listen to him! If you let me go I'll kill all of you! I swear!" She yells at the man on top of her, interrupting me.

"We'll have to ask you to back away, as you see this person is dangerous" Asserts one of the officer, pushing me back.

I try to move forward and look at Orchid over the agent's shoulders "B-but..."

Before I can protest any further, the other two officers are already dragging my friend across the ground, carrying her towards their car.

"Bye, Ritz! Wish me luck!" She shouts excitedly at me from afar, before the officers throw her into the back seat and slam the door shut. Seconds later they start up the vehicle, and I can only watch as they drive away. 

I'm still standing in the middle of the crowd, no one is watching the screens anymore, they are watching me. I fall to my knees and put my hands up to my head, pulling back the hair on my face. I let out a nervous laugh... Who would have guessed that two of my best friends were going to end up behind bars today?

"You're out of your mind, Orchid..."
