【An angel~】

I approach Veneer's table, and quickly take the seat next to him. He gets startled, and flinches as he chokes on his food. He exchanges a look with the jailmate in front of him, and then analyzes me from top to bottom with a frown.

"Um...Hello?" 

"Hi, I'm Orchid!" I introduce myself with a smile, extending my hand. It would be a good idea to make a good impression on him. "I'm new here!" 

He, although surprised, returns my smile and accepts my handshake. "Oh, nice to meet you...I'm-" 

"Veneer, I know." I reply as I shake his hand vigorously, before realizing my mistake. I have to take things slowly, no rushing.

 He just lets out a nervous laugh and scratches his neck "Yeah, who doesn't, after all the controversy with the trolls and... all that stuff." 

I've actually known him since elementary school, considering I've been watching Velvet since I met her, and he's always been by her side. But I'm not going to say that. 

"And where is Velvet?" I ask him out of the blue, unable to contain my eagerness.

 He again chokes on his drink, and stares at me with wide eyes, as if I had just touched on a sensitive topic... Why?

 "Oh yes Velvet...my sister. She's...well..." He mutters to himself.

His friend taps the table to get his attention. "You tell her, or do I tell her?" 

"..." he shrugs his shoulders, and doesn't respond, hes just stares at his plate with sadness.

 His friend sighs, before explaining, "Well, as soon as the crazy bitch arrived, she called him a traitor and beat him up-"

 "Sssh! Mac!" Interrupts Veneer , covering his mouth. "Don't tell her everything!" 

"Why? Everyone knows you can't stand each other."

 I freeze from the shock. The two of them...hating each other? But they are inseparable! I've always had to crop him out of the photos I secretly took of Velvet! Well, I'll have time to think about it, now something else matters.

 "So you don't know where she is?"He sighs, and shakes his head "No, really, but I get an idea-" 

"Speaking of the devil, turn around." This Mac guy tells me, pointing behind me.

 I do what he says and my heart almost bursts out of my chest at the sight before my eyes... it's her. It's Velvet.

 My Velvet~

Catwalking like a model in the crowd. For a few seconds, everything else numbs out. My being can only focus on her, on her perfection, on her angelic aura. Even though she's not wearing makeup, even though she has her beautiful, soft hair all tangled up, and she's forced to hide her beautiful figure with this orange uniform... she looks as gorgeous as ever. She is an angel, no, the reincarnation of God, no matter what she does~

But my trance is interrupted when I focus my attention on her face... She doesn't know me, but I know her, and she can't fool me... even though she displays her sexy expression of superiority... she's sad. I can see it through those mesmerizing blue eyes.

Suddenly, her gaze darts in my direction. I feel a chill run down my spine, even though she's not looking at me. To her I am still invisible...but that will soon change. 

"Shit-" Veneer whispers as he quickly turns around covering his face with his hand. "Is she still looking at me? No, right? Right??"

"Don't worry, she passed us by..." Mac assures him, making him calm down and sigh in relief. 

And what I would give for her to look at me... 

I keep watching her, but I pay attention to who she has next to her... it seems that she has already made friends. On one side she has a girl with a modified uniform, wearing various black accessories; And on the other, a sloppy-looking boy with blue hair and big glasses.

They all have the same defiant expression, people try to look away when they approach... as if they are... afraid of them? I can't tell you about those two, but I would be admiring Velvet for the rest of my life if I could.

 Veneer grabs me by the shoulder, and forces me to turn around. "D-don't stare at them too much..." 

"Why?"

Forgot you're new... those three are the most dangerous group in the entire facility. "You don't want to mess with them." Veneer's friend answers me, and he just nods without saying a word.

I turn my head slowly to look at them discreetly, the group has already sat down and is chatting amongs themselves. 

"I don't know, I only see an angel- I mean your sister, a nerd and a goth girl. They seem friendly."

"I know, right?" He tells me while letting out a small laugh. "Well, you should know that the nerd was a hacker who has helped bankrupt 12 companies, and the goth was part of a sect that made satanic sacrifices."

"On the other hand, I suppose you know what his sister has done, they don't tire of putting it on the news lately..." He frowns as she glares at her from a distance. 

"Only a psychopath would harm a defenseless troll..." For a moment he looks back at Veneer. "No offense."

"None taken."

"In summary: Velvet, Viktor and Vivienne. The three Vs. The worst scum locked in here."

 "Don't you DARE call her that" I say through clenched teeth, punching the table to contain my anger. "Velvet is a being of light."

they both stare at me scared for a few uncomfortable seconds. I think my first meeting with my brother-in-law went wrong, oops...But I must defend the honor of my goddess at all costs.

I look to the side, for some reason Velvet has grabbed her tray and is walking away from the other two.

 Now It's my CHANCE!

 I quickly get up from the seat to escape the awkward encounter, and I start to follow her. I feel Mac's irritating voice behind me. 

"What are you doing? Do you want her to kill you or what?"

I ignore him completely, he is not relevant to my plan.

 "Goodbye Veneer, Ritz gives you his regards! Or well I don't know, he said you were scum when...Oops, I shouldn't have said that-" 

Hearing my words, his eyes widden "Wait! You know Kidritz-"

 "Bye, nice to meet you!"I have no time to waste, this is the most important part of the plan, and I will not let anything get in my way.
