Circus of Pixels (TADC x Reader)

Plant Pandemonium

The room was eerily quiet.

Y/N stood breathing heavy with their eyes closed.

"Y-Y/N.." Gangle cautiously walked over.

"Get away from me!" They cried.

"Y/N, we're just trying to help!" Ragatha cried.

"Stop!" Y/N held out a hand. "I don't wanna hurt anyone."

"You should be ok now." Caine floated over.

Y/N looked back at Ragatha.

"Just... be careful." She added softly.

Y/N nodded.

"You need to keep a lid on it, buster."

"Jax, not now."

"What? Can't handle my presence?"

"Jax. Not, now." Y/N and Jax's eyes met.

"Whatever you say hothead."

Y/N's body glitched. They dropped to their knees in pain.

"Ack!"

"I think you better get to bed." Ragatha suggested.

Y/N nodded again, then slowly started down the hallway, glitching every so often.

"Jax.." Ragatha glared at him.

"What?" He asked, sounding oblivious.

"Never do that again." She said gravely.

"Can't take a joke?"

Ragatha grabbed his arm. "Just stop." Then she walked away.

Jax just hummed in response.

"I suggest you all go to bed, too." Caine piped up, trying to seize the awkward.

Everyone nodded then also went down the hallway.

"GOOD MOOOOOORNINGGGGG!" Caine's voice boomed across the circus tent.

Everyone woke up and filed into the main room.

"Today we're gonna do the adventure that we were gonna do yesterday!"

Everyone glanced over at Y/N.

"I'm fine." They brushed it off.

"Your time begins... now!"

They all raced to pick a flower pot, seeds and fertilizer. Jax picked a tall, plain, purple porcelain vase. Zooble picked a pink terracotta pot with daisies painted on it. Ragatha picked a short, red, glass pot. Gangle picked a skinny, clear, red vase. Kinger picked a big, golden goblet. Pomni picked a red and blue striped cup, and Y/N picked a fat, F/C porcelain pot.

Bubble was hovering over Jax.

"Do you mind?" Jax shoved Bubble away with his arm. He just came floating back slowly and stared at him.

"Bubble! Please give our superstars some space!" Caine called. Bubble looked sadly down and resentfully floated back towards Caine.

"Creep." Jax muttered under his breath, pouring dirt into his pot.

  Y/N was already putting a F/P seed in their pot.

(F/P is 'Favorite plant')

"Nice choice!" Ragatha gave them a thumbs up.

Y/N smiled back and buried the seed. They grabbed their watering can and started giving the seed some food.

The plant suddenly shot up out of the dirt and stopped just over halfway to the tent ceiling.

"Whoa..." Y/N muttered breathlessly as they stepped back to admire the ginormous plant.

"Wow!" Ragatha looked up.

"Great work, Y/N!" Caine flew over.

"Thank you!"

"Once the others are finished we'll see which will be deemed the winner!" Caine whisked away as fast as he appeared.

Y/N was admiring their plant, once they saw a white and blue bag on their table.

"What's this?" They asked themself.

They opened the bag up.

Fertilizer.

Y/N poured the whole bag of fertilizer into the pot.

"Are you like stupid or something?" Zooble asked sarcastically.

"Yes." They answered, still pouring it out.

Zooble huffed in response and leaned on her table.

The last of the bag fell in to the pot.

"Hmm, it didn't do anything."

The plant suddenly shriveled up and turned a grayish brown. Jax was snickering.

"Too much fertilizer kills your plant numbskull." Zooble said.

Y/N's arms drooped in cartoonish disappointment.

"Time's almost up!" Caine called.

Just as Y/N started walking away in defeat, they heard a loud:

Crack

Everyone looked over to the dead plant, it started moving.

Y/N walked over to inspect the plant. Suddenly they were blown back with pain coursing through their body.

Y/N exclaimed in pain and struggled to pull themself up to see what had happened.

The plant grew twice its original size and had torn through the tent roof.

"Whoa."

Everyone was staring at the plant.

"Time's up!"

"16 feet, not bad Gangle! 13 feet, good effort Zooble! 23 feet for Kinger! 27 feet, good work Jax! 50 feet Ragatha, amazing work! Now Y/N..."

Caine floated over to Y/N's table with the ginormous plant.

"Let's see!" Caine brought out a measuring tape. "Hold this to the floor bubble!"

He zoomed up to the top of the plant as fast as a jet.

"A whopping 128 feet! Y/N is your winner!"

Y/N exhaled breathlessly in joy, they were very proud of themself.

"Great job new stuff!" Ragatha walked over and laid a friendly hand on their shoulder. Y/N smiled back.

"That concludes today's adventure!" Caine called. He then let go of the tape measure and it came speeding back, Bubble popped when it got back into its holder.

"Enjoy some dinner now! You've all earned it!"
