Two week into the first term, Lyra had successfully avoided her brothers attempts at reconciliation. She of course knew why he had left and didnt blame him fully but her stubbornness wasnt ready to let go of the grudge that built up over the summer. Dodging him and his gang of friends in passing through corridors and ignoring his very  loud attempts of gaining her attention in the Great Hall.

The older twin, was however losing momentum and was close to giving up that Wednesday morning, after trudging his way through the castle to not miss breakfast he sluggishly dropped into the set across from Peter Pettigrew, a small, rounded, freckled boy. Snatching the piece of toast that was mid way to the blonde boys face, Sirius created a dramatic entrance as always. The populace of  Great hall was slim and only a handful of students where scattered around the huge room. Those who remained where gifted with the very loud sorrow filled groan of Sirius Black.  James Potter, Sirius's best friend joint rolled his eyes with Remus who sat across from him. The brown haired boy fixed his crooked glasses onto his face before consoling the depressed teen.

'Oii, mate what's got your  nickers in a twist'

Peter chuckled at the taller boys reaction to the question, his shaggy ear length hair covering the majority of his face.

'  My nickers are perfectly alright, thank you. Its just Lyra'

Remus placed the book he had been reading down beside him before turning to the overdramatic by. 'like I told, you just need to talk to her'

'wowo really mate, that such a good idea Rem, why didnt I think that' he sarcastically replied. Remus once more rolled his warm brown eyes and returned to his book.

'Well in fairness, the only time you tried talk to talk to her, was when you, you know, stood up on the table and started a Shakespearean monologue' Peter reasoned stealing the slice of toast away from his now offended friend.

'You really did embarrass her Sirius' James and Remus nodded in agreement pitifully at Peters analysis.

'Alright fine, so maybe not the best approach, but how else am I suppo..' Sirius never finished his sentence as the black haired and green robes figure of his younger brother  strolling out of the hall caught his attention. Bingo.

'See ye lads in class, save me a seat will ya'

The three sixteen year old's watched in confused as their friend sprinted out the doors of the Great Hall his red robes seeping behind him as he went.
