Miranda put on a sweater and jeans that the hospital was gracious enough to give her. She placed all her other things in the big zip-lock bag that they gave her, making sure her camera and everything were in it.

"Hey, Bailey,"

Her eyes widened in shock and she turned around to face Richard.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" She asked giving him a huge hug to which he hugged her as tight as he could.

"I figured I would come and bring you back. You might need someone to fly with."

"Thank you," she whined happily.

"It was nothing. I'm just glad you are okay. I missed you. Hell, everyone misses you. Seattle Grace is not the same without you. You truly are the heart of the hospital and one of my best friends."

"Are you trying to make me cry, Webber? I've been crying enough for weeks."

"I'm sorry," he laughed. "Just know that I mean it. "

"I know and thank you for coming to get me. It means the world to me and these flowers are beautiful."

Richard held Miranda's things as they walked out of the room. They walked down the hall and Miranda tried not to look at Ben's door but she did.

His fiance was on the bed laying on his chest. Miranda felt her heartache and more tears forming.

"You okay?" Richard asked listening to her sniffle.

"Yeah, I'm just emotional. Like I'm really  going home," she responded.

Richard squeezed her arm in comfort and called them a cab.

"Oh, we have to stop past the vet."

"The vet?"

"Yeah, I have to get my dog."

"Miranda what dog?"

"The pilot who died. He brought his dog on the plane. So we took care of him. I didn't want him at first but I like him now. He was a source of comfort during everything."

"Wow, let's go get him then."

Arriving at the vet that was written on the piece of paper. Miranda went inside and she explained to them the dog she was looking for.

The woman knew immediately what dog she was referring to. "How is he?" She questioned.

"He's great. We took out the stitches on his ear. We treated him for frostbite on his paws, nose, tail, and a bit of his legs. They blistered but we gave him pain meds and antibiotics. We cleaned him up and shaved him. He has a bald spot on the bridge of his nose, and tail from the frostbite but it's growing in. We heard about your story and I am in awe and wish you and your partner the best."

"Thank you so much,"

Miranda waited a while and looked up when the door opened up and he was on a leash.

The dog barked and jumped on her legs, his tail wagging. "Hey buddy, I am glad to see you too." She chimed rubbing behind his ear. "You ready to go home."

"We got you a crate complimentary. So he can fly home."

"Thank you," Miranda said looking up at the woman at the front desk.

Ben woke up and looked over at Sabrina lying in bed with him and he sighed. He called Miranda's room number but he didn't get any response.

The nurse came into the room to check his stats. "Dr. Miranda Bailey?" Ben asked.
