"Now that's what I'm talking about." Winnie cheered, nudging you on your shoulders. You chuckled, looking down at your phone where Miss Everett's phone number was saved. "Yeah, yeah." You three were walking together, now outside of the school.

"Are you gonna text her later today?" Winnie wiggled her eyebrows. You shrugged, a smug look on your face. "Maybe." But truth be told, you probably weren't. As bold as you may seem, you felt nervous about this whole situation.

Winnie turned to look over at Cairo, and she seemed to be uninterested in the conversation with how quiet she was. "Do you think she should come in strong and sext her?" She asked Cairo.

"I think she should send her a nude picture." Cairo said, seeming apathetic, but Winnie could hear the annoyance in her voice. "Ohhh that's good." Winnie agreed, even though she knew Cairo wasn't being serious.

You chuckled. "That might just scare her away."

"No, it's good. Cairo here can be your photographer while you pose for her." She winked at you, causing your cheeks to heat up. When she looked back at the quiet girl, she still seemed annoyed and she would probably burst if she continued. So she chose to change topics.

"Have you finished writing that story for the midterm?" Asked Winnie.

"Just about. I'm planning to finish it later today so I can send it to him on the weekend." Informed Cairo. "But first I have to give mister Millers a call about my phone. I'm kind of planning something."

Right before they left his class, Cairo had found out she didn't have her phone with her. After retracing her actions she had realized Miller had taken it back home with him. And she wanted to use this opportunity to cross that line with him. No, not sex... but cross the line to the point where they would no longer be just teacher and student.

It was raining now, and everyone was back at their own homes.

And Cairo's' plan went to the next step, because when Miller showed up, as the rain fell on them, they shared a kiss.

The feeling in her stomach told her it was wrong, but none of it involved because of their age gap, no. In fact it was only because those lips weren't yours. But she'd be damned if she let those sinful thoughts win.

You can't always get what you want, and Cairo experienced it first hand. The following Monday, she met Miller after school to discuss her story she had sent him on Saturday (The teacher and student story, Winnie had mentioned). It didn't go well. Miller insisted she write a new story, to pick a new author.

Cairo stood her ground, because this wasn't how this was supposed to go.

But in a way, it worked. Or at least she was going to make this work one way or another.

"This conversation is over, Cairo." Jonathan said

"You know what, you're right. This is fucking over." And she meant every word.

"God, how could I have been so stupid!? I mean, it offended him. Like really offended him." Cairo's words came out shaky, her eyes glossy. She grabbed the vodka bottle from your hands and took a big gulp.

"Maybe he wasn't offended. Maybe he was affected." Said Winnie from beside you. It was the evening of the same day, and you and Winnie met Cairo at her place. She was upset, and she wanted nothing more than to drink her problems away right now. Get her mind off things for just one night. So you three sat on her bed, you in between them both, and drank as Cairo vented.
