"Sanji!" Maki's eyes shot open at the loud Rubber boy's voice. He sighed rubbing his head, it had been nearly a day since they left Logue Town. He was hoping to get some sleep.

"Well... there goes that idea." He yawned sitting up rubbing his eyes.

Luffy was already up, screaming to Sanji for food.

"He's like a dog." Maki sighed. "Got an eating schedule and every thing."

He sat up yawning. Staring off into the sea. He noticed Zoro was also up. Getting an early work out in.

As Zoro stood up wiping the sweat from his face he glanced at Maki.

"Oh, you're awake?" He asked.

"Not by choice." Maki said with an annoyed expression as he stared off into the sea. Zoro just chuckled.

"Yeah, he's noisy. If you just wake up before he does you won't be so grumpy." Zoro said before heading down the stairs to the main deck of the Merry.

Maki stood up and stretched, he headed down the stairs as well walking over to the Lounge, he opened the door. Seeing Sanji up and ready, making food.

Maki glanced at him. "Where's Nami?"

Sanji looked up with a smile. "Oh, you're up early. Nami-san? She's probably by the tangerines."

Maki shrugged. He didn't see her there earlier. She didn't sleep for very long most nights, and he didn't feel like barging into her room.

He walked out seeing Luffy and Usopp already up bright and early. Messing around. He put his arms over the railing watch the two.

He heard footsteps and noticed Nami. He stared right at her.

"You're up late." He smiled softly.

She didn't really give him a response, her eyes were tired and around them were red-rims. It looked like she had been crying.

"Hey, Nami are you-"

"Meat!" Luffy jumped right past them and into the kitchen, interrupting him. This caused Nami just to walk back downstairs.

Maki got annoyed and just followed her, "Oi! Nami."
He said walking up to her. She gave him a harsh glare.

"What?" She snapped at him.

He wasn't really fazed, he just stared right at her, she had a guilty look on her face as she silently stared on him.

"Sorry... I-" Maki just cut her off.

"It's fine. You don't have to tell me anything. But if you're feeling upset, I'm here you know?" He said calmly.

She headed into the storage room and down the stairs. Entering her room. Maki just followed her she didn't oblige or tell him to go away.

She sat down on the couch in the room. Sighing heavily, her head in her hands.

"What's wrong, Nami?" Maki asked quietly, he leaned against the wall across from her. She glanced up at him.

"J-just... had a bad dream... a-about. Arlong and stuff. It's fine... I'm okay." She said trying to fight away some tears.

"There's nothing wrong with being sad about the shit you went through." Maki said. "You're allowed to be traumatized, Nami. You're also allowed to let out your emotions. This crew might be full of idiots but they sure as hell would jump up the first second you were feeling upset."

Nami sniffled, wiping her tears. "S-sorry... I know. I'm just... not feeling that good."

Maki smiled. "Just lie down, we're not close to the Grand Line yet, and I know basic navigation skills. So get some rest, alright?"
