Alastor's ears folded back as the fog cleared up. He narrowed his eyes as he saw her...
"Roo."
"Alastoooorr~" Roo smiled, sitting on a throne of thick roots with her legs crossed. She had long, untamed black hair with crimson tips, a similar colour to her jacket which billowed behind her in the wind.
"How ya been, luv? Long time no see!" She hissed, her deformed tongue flashing outwards for a split second.
"Oh! I've been doing most splendid, my dear." Alastor spat as his eyes remained narrowed suspiciously at the sight of her.
Roo recognised his subtle animosity towards her and she cocked her head almost innocently, "You're probably wonderin' why I'm here? Aren't ya?"
"Oh, do enlighten me."
She beamed, climbing down from her roots to level with Alastor. Her stench was most putrid as she slowly approached him. Her smile grew wider and more maniacal as she approached, her eyes searching Alastor's expression for any hint of fear or weakness. She'll admit... she found none.
"I'm here strictly for business. Don't get any funny ideas, Ally, ~" she teased, attempting to boop the disgruntled deer on the nose who dodged it by contorting his neck. His eyes turn to dials for a split second as he composes himself from her attack on his personal space.
"I wouldn't dream of it." Alastor's smile began to look more like a sneer.
"Got word that someone wants ta' break his deal~" Roo scowls, tutting at the radio demon who seems unfazed by her knowledge of his intentions. In fact, it was about time she figured it out... he was prepared.
"And... If Lilith knew someone wasn't fit to guide her spawn. She would have me take care of you~" Alastor was also aware of the unofficial deal he had made with Lilith to help Charlie.
A familiar chain wrapped around Alastor's neck and tugged on it causing him to bend slightly, his eyes level with her, "Indeed, my dear. You're right where I want you..."
His eyes turned to dials as his body and antlers grew, the chain shattering. He didn't have his staff present with him but he was sure that it wouldn't be a problem as he felt his previous wounds had healed tremendously. The power coursed through his veins as he spawned tentacles which rose from the ground, shooting in Roo's direction.
However, with incredible speed, Roo manages to use her roots to climb up and out of the way of the evading tentacles.
"Crickey! I appreciate the enthusiasm but I think you're forgetting that I am the root of all evil." her voice had turned low and demonic as horns formed and her hair whipped around as she summoned more roots, causing Alastor to jump as he effectively evaded them. Alastor was quite flexible and agile and it was quite simple for him to evade her attacks even without his precious staff, this caused Roo to sneer. She realised this wouldn't be as simple as she imagined.
Eventually, Alastor found his neck enclosed in the vice-like grip of a root along with his wrists and ankles. He felt her slowly choking him with a smug smile, the look in her eye signalling she thought she had won. Alastor watched her, his smile unwavering, as she took out her prized weapon from her jacket. Unsheathed her shiny dagger and waved it around mockingly with a murderous glint in her eyes. It was one of her favourites and she adored the familiar markings on its hilt.
"Not too bad, Al. Surprised you lasted this long." she knelt down moving the dagger towards his face, teasingly pressing it against his jaw making a small abrasion in the radio demon's skin.
It was as if she was waiting for him to stop smiling... to give up.
No.
Alastor gasps for air and mumbles in a low voice, "Fuck... you."
