After he said that, we went off into the cut of the club, until we ended up going into the basement. Keep in mind I'm still high out of my mind, and buzzing over shorty from the dance floor, so I'm not in the best of shape. But once we got down the stairs, I saw a familiar figure; I personally don't know why this all didn't catch up to me quicker than now, because once I fixed my eyes on the figure, it was Snow.
"Kaide, fancy seeing you again, you know after I saved your life and shit."
"Wassup Snow? Thanks about that, I owe you God."
"And that's why you're here. Sit down. I brought you here today, for a proposition, actually more of an opportunity, to have all of your dreams come true. I understand all three of you are familiar with my line of business, P and Reed more so than you, Kaide; but that's only temporary. You three are now my scouts, and part time runners. What I need you three to do, is to look out for new blocks I can put my product out on, and maybe pitch a dime here or there. You'll have your own money to play with, and eventually you three can start your own campaign in these streets. Sound like a plan?"
I am 96% sure this was the high talking, but I agreed, as did P and Reed. And with that, he sent us on our way.
"Aight get out of here, I know you need to get home before your moms, Kaide, and it's about 3 right now."
It never occurred to me how he knew all this information about my life, but I still paid it no mind, and we was out after that.
On our way back, P and Reed were busy thinking about all the materialistic shit they could get if everything goes accordingly, however me, I was thinking about the opportunities. Help my moms out, the naive part of me was saying make enough to stash away for college and get out the game, and that's what I wanted to do, I wouldn't tell P, Reed, and definitely not Snow though. On top of that, the image of girl from the club popped in my head, and what she said to me last before I stepped off. "Get your bands up." Man, that resonated, because the closer I got to home, the more and more I started thinking about her. I needed her, and I was willing to do my dirt to get her.
I got to my crib, so I dap up P and Reed, tell them peace, and go up the apartment steps. I open my door, and let out a huge sigh of relief, because my mom isn't home. Even better, Dev is asleep on the couch. I pick him up to take him to his bed, he was knocked because he didn't even wake up. Got him in bed, and I check the time, 3:20; enough time for me to get in the shower and get in bed and try to sleep this high off, and that I did.
Before I fell asleep though, I heard my mom open the door and drop all her shit to the ground. I peek out my room, and think how nice it would be to have another influx of income coming in besides hers. At that moment, my mind was set on what exactly I had to do. And I promised myself, that no matter what, I'll finish before I graduate high school and get outta here for college. That was the plan, but somehow things always skew off track, you know the deal.
