So I laid low after that, I decided to take a hiatus until school started. Stay off the block, catch up with Snow, and get ready for my senior year. But again, things don't always go as planned.
It was the first day of senior year, I step into school, and I'm getting mad love from niggas and females I never even associated with, they just know my business. I'm trying to look for P and Reed, these niggas ain't even show up to school. But, I saw something else even more unpleasant: Alanna.
Why does she go here? Did she go to school with me this entire time? Man listen I'm not trying to fuck with her at all right now, I'm mentally exhausted. Obviously she had some resent towards me still, she gave me a cold ass stare and continued about her day, as I did with mine.
School let out, was a nice little day, I was on my way home. As I went up the steps to get to my house, I noticed the door was cracked. I had just thought Dev left the door open on accident or something, so I paid it no mind. I sat my shit down, and yelled for Dev, but no answer. I went to his room, he wasn't there...shit just keeps on getting worse with me.
I'm about to take off outside to look for this nigga, until I see a note on my counter. I stopped, and read it.
"Yeah I got him, and your mom next, and I'll finish the job on Snow, if you don't give me what I want. 20 grand. You got two weeks.
-P."
Well shit. I should've knew it was this nigga. I want to call Reed but I don't know if he in on this too, so I chilled. What's worse is that my mom still doesn't know that I was running the streets for Snow. I should probably tell her...regardless of the consequences. The biggest problem was the money, I had 7 grand saved up, and I know Snow got some money stashed up somewhere, but not 13 G's. So I took off to see him.
He's been out of the hospital for a week now, and he been laying low, in Staten Island. Only me and my mom know where he at, which is good. Maybe she's there too.
I took the ferry down to Staten, and got to his crib, he was there, my mom too, watching ComicView. I came in, it was clear I had some shit to say. So I broke it to my mom...
"...So yeah, I basically was running for Snow this whole summer, and P and Reed got jealous, and they kidnapped Dev, you two next if I can't up 20 grand in two weeks. I was hoping you two could help."
My mom took it better than I thought she would, she was mad, but happy I came out with it. She pulled 2 grand out her purse and gave it to me. "Here, all I got." Snow just looked at me, and pointed to his pantry, I went there, and there was 6 grand there. Which left me 5 G's to up in two weeks. Challenge accepted. They saw the look on my face, and knew it was on, I said nothing and took off. I had to cop some protection.
I got back on the ferry to come home, but I figured I would stop in the heights, and fuck with the Hispanics, they probably got a piece I could cop for the low. They did, I got a 9 for $500, I was new to guns so I didn't know what and what not to pay, but this will do the job. I took off back to the lab, with one thing on my mind...get this money, and take these niggas out.
