The Day He Changed Everything

It's been a month since the fairy tail guild lost their strongest members and master. People have come by and given their condolences, other guilds stopped by also. Lamia scale and blue pegasus said they would help them all they had to do was ask, their words fell on deaf ears though. The guild hasn't taken any missions since it happened, during the first week most people didn't even go to the guild.

The few times Natsu went to the guild it was a shell of its former glory. There was no noise, no fights, all signs of the once lively guild were gone and it enraged him every time. Happy tried to cheer him up but he could tell that his feline friend was barely holding himself together.

The usual light of the guild has barely been eating and his eyes were red from crying. The more time passed the angrier he got. He needed to let off some steam, going to the guild leaving Happy asleep in their house, he wasn't surprised to see it in the same dull state.

He walked straight to the mission board and he picked up a mission to hunt some wyverns just outside of magnolia. He walked to the bar and stamped the mission himself and left.

It didn't take long for Natsu to make it to the town that requested the mission. Walking into the mayor's office he saw an old woman with a serene demeanor, something you wouldn't expect from someone whose town is under threat of wyverns.

“You must be the famed salamander from Fairy Tail, my name is Reida. Nice to meet you.” She said, holding her hand out to shake. Natsu shook her hand making sure his skin didn't burn her. “My name is Natsu.” He said, his usual cheerfulness missing.

“To tell the truth I was pretty scared but I was so relieved when fairy tail answered my request.” The lady said, smiling at Natsu. In the past month Natsu forgot what it was like to do something like this. “Don't worry I'll handle it.” Natsu said simply no real emotion behind his voice.

Walking deep into the surrounding forest he followed the directions to the wyvern's nest. He came across one which looked like it was out on the hunt. Deciding to not waste time, Natsu immediately leaped into action, his flames moving around erratically reflecting his rage.

“Fire Dragons iron Fist”

Before the beast could realize it was under threat it was hit in its side. When his fist made contact Natsu noticed the difference between his old iron fist and his new one, the way the fire exploded on contact added an extra kick to the attack.

The wyvern flew back with a scream and Natsu could see where his attack hit. The wound was cauterized, but the scales around it were all gone. The wyvern got up and charged at Natsu, the dragon slayer didn't flinch. He readied himself before deciding to try out a move he hasn't done before.

The wyvern tried to claw him but Natsu dodged backwards, next came a tail swipe and Natsu jumped over it. Natsu coming down Aimed his attack at where his heart should be.

“Fire Dragon’s piercing claw”

Natsu pointed his fingers out in a spear-like shape, the fire on his hand looking like it was sharpened. When the attack hit Natsu's hand went through with no resistance and he killed the wyvern almost instantly.

Pulling his hand out it was dripping with blood but his skin burned it off. Natsu started to make his way into the forest with one thought. More. He wanted to fight more, that fight was too quick. Feeling something around him he dodged to the left just in time to avoid being impaled by a tail. Scanning his surroundings he saw the other three wyverns he was hunting surrounding him.

Natsu smiled a bloodthirsty one, something unlike him. He wasn't fighting for that village or even fairy tail right now. He just wanted to burn his enemies right now.
