As the battle raged on the two collected wounds but they did nothing to slow them down. They fought like they could go on for days, but they both knew that wasn't gonna happen. Natsu went for another attack but the king jumped into the air. Natsu waited for him to return but the vampire stayed in the sky.
“Darkness fall”
Black lighting started to rain down on Natsu, but the fire dragon slayer was never one to back.
“Dragon slayer secret art: Crimson lotus Exploding Flame Blade!”
Spinning flames were unleashed from Natsu's hands and they clashed with the lightning.
“BOOM!”
The resulting shockwave was felt all around magnolia and the light could be seen from the now calm battlefield. Natsu took to the sky himself and started a fierce aerial battle. Natsu wanted to just tell the man to just give up, if he could feel the battle was down the he was sure his enemy could. He wanted to but he couldn't. Because he knew if it was him in their position he wouldn't give up, he would keep fighting.
“Why why WHY!” The king screamed as he threw attacks at Natsu. Natsu dodged and blocked them all.” What are you talking about?” Natsu asked as he clashed with the freal king. “The vampires have been hunted down and humiliated for years. I've spent years waiting for the time I could revive my people!” He landed a hit on Natsu's stomach that sent him into the clouds. “Only to be thwarted by some mediocre guild. A child like you has no idea what's it's like to have an entire race gripping on to your back, waiting for your words of reassurance as they starve in a dark cave.” His body turned into lightning and in a flash he appeared right above the stunned dragon slayer.
“You don't have any idea what it's like to put your pride down and bide your time. Play with your thumbs as you wait for the perfect moment to strike. To lose everything in a single night!” Lighting coiled around his fist and spun violently.
“BOOM!”
He punched Natsu and sent him flying into the ground, blood escaped the Master's mouth as he hit the ground and made a crater. The king landed on the ground and watched the downed Natsu. “ So why is someone like you getting in my way? Someone unable to understand a fraction of my people's pain!” Natsu struggled to get up off the ground, more blood fell from his lips as he laughed at the king's words.
“What do I need to understand about your pain to be able to stop you?” The king looked appalled. It's not like Natsu couldn't understand, he just didn't care. Natsu very rarely shows compassion to his enemies. The few times he has it's because they were betrayed by one of their allies.“You killed townspeople, and destroyed my guild hall. You almost killed my son and daughter. That's what I understand and that's all I need to understand to put my all into stopping you. And I'm gonna make sure you never get the chance to hurt anyone ever again!”
Natsu's magic power started to surge and the ground started to shake under his power.
“Change mode: Lightning Flame Dragon mode.”
Flame covered Natsu's form and with it came lightning sparks. He instantly closed the distance between him and called his attack.
