Night Assault:Part Two

Natsu and Co were surrounded by at least 50 vampires. "It's the Fairy tail guild master. If we kill him the king will reward us!" One of them screamed. The group all started to laugh and whistle in excitement. Natsu could hear the screams of the people being taken by the vampires and that angered him.

A pillar of fire wrapped around him and the group. With a wave of his hand the fire extended outward and killed the group around him. His fire was abruptly stopped and he turned to see a man standing there.

"That was really Impressive." The man said, clapping his hands. "Just what I expected from someone called the salamander." He said. "What's the deal here? Why are you guys invading Magnolia!?" Natsu yelled at him. The man looked like he was really thinking of an answer to his question. "Hmm I guess. Convenience." He said simply.

If Natsu wasn't angry before he was now. "CONVENIENCE!" He yelled, flames sparking from his mouth. "So you're saying you're capturing the humans and destroying the town because it's convenient?" Natsu questioned him, enraged. "Yeah. We needed to capture some territory and it was the closest town to us. Any town would have done." The man explained.

Natsu was ready to charge the man but he had to calm himself and think about the situation in the town. He could feel the guild fighting but it was at least 100 vampires running around the city, too many to stop them all. Houses and shops were already being destroyed and people were being kidnapped all over.

"Laki go help the town, while I deal with this guy." He told her. "Of course Natsu." She said with no hesitation. "I'm going too Natsu." Ultear said. They turned to leave but Jellal dropped to his knees. Natsu took his eyes off the enemy to see what happened and that was a mistake.

"BAM"

The vampire ran over and with a fist coating in rock, sucker punched Natsu. He flew away but quickly caught himself and spit out some blood. The vampire turned his attention to the rest of the group but Natsu wouldn't allow that. The vampire was hit with an iron dragon fist that broke his jaw. "Jellal stay in the guild you're too hurt." Natsu told the blue haired man. "No I can still-." He was cut off before he could continue, "You'd just be in the way, regain your strength and come back later." Ultear told him. "Merdey, stay with him and protect him."

Merdey put a frustrated Jellal on her shoulder and carried him back into the guild hall. The vampire's jaw healed and he smiled at Natsu with anger in his eyes.

"Stone spears"

Ten spears made of stone were shot at Natsu. Another wave of fire was shot from Natsu's body and melted the spears mid air, the fire traveled all the way to the shocked vampire and he erected a rock shield in response but it broke under the force.

The man let out a nervous laugh as he saw the power he was facing. Before Natsu could follow up he was attacked from behind by someone else, dodging blades of wind that left deep cuts on the ground he watched as a girl landed next to his enemy.

"You're an embarrassment to the apostilles Ice." she told him emotionlessly. "Cut me some slack, the guy's no push over." The man said.

"What's an apostille?" Natsu asked. "They're the strongest vampires under the king's command." The man called ice readily explained. The woman hit him over the head. "Don't give the enemy information on us." She said, her face still expressionless. "You're the one who said apostille." Ice told her, on her face you could see a small blush being formed.

"How many of them are there?" Natsu asked them. "10" Ice quickly answered him. "Thanks for that." Natsu said, as he charged both of them. The girl sent more wind blades at him that Natsu dodged with ease, but an earth pillar was easier under his feet shooting him in the air. "Now Betty!"
