Ricky stirred awake at the sound of what seemed to be Gyuvin's alarm. Not that he was a hater or anything, but hearing Aitai-tai by Red Velvet blasting at 100% volume at 6:50 A.M. was not how he had expected his morning to start. Especially on a school day.
Ignoring the cheery tune and bright lyrics of the song whilst simultaneously trying to unwrap himself from the tangle of blankets he'd created overnight was a difficult task, but Ricky managed to wake himself up enough to want to actually freshen up. That was usually very difficult for him, so he was hoping that he'd wake up to Gyuvin's alarm every day.
Only for his benefit though. He couldn't stand walking into class half awake.
Ricky carefully stepped out of his room to head to the bathroom. It's too bad that the bathrooms in the dorms had two sinks. Otherwise, he would have hogged up the entire place for himself, forcing Gyuvin to sit outside the door, or, even worse, use the kitchen sink. Honestly, he wouldn't count himself on that one, because the narrative could be switched in the blink of an eye.
On the way to the bathroom, he realized that Gyuvin's alarm had played through until the song's second chorus. Confused as to how that could be (especially since Aitai-tai was quite the upbeat song), Ricky slowly walked over to Gyuvin's door. It was slightly ajar, sunlight peeking through the crack in the door and spilling into the small living area.
Ricky was shocked to find Gyuvin fast asleep, one of his many plushies being suffocated by his own grip. Ricky snorted at the sight and took a picture of the moment in his mind for blackmail, not having enough energy to go all the way back into his room to grab his phone and take a real photo.
He stopped laughing for a few moments and stood there, looking around Gyuvin's room. It was unfurnished for now, only a bed and dresser taking up most of the space. The only hint of personality in the entire room was Gyuvin's heap of Sanrio plushies and the very noticeable Sanrio calendar which sat unaligned on the wall, just on top of his dresser.
Ricky smiled softly at the way Gyuvin was practically drowning in stuffed animals, finding the sight to be quite endearing. How come Gyuvin didn't look like a tragic, tired, depressed high schooler when he slept?
Hold up, what? Ricky shook his head so fast that he felt as though he'd gotten whiplash. Seriously, Quanrui? You're not supposed to be mentally complimenting him...
Ricky rolled his eyes and turned around to leave the room immediately after catching himself lacking. He stopped in his tracks for a second though, choosing to wake Gyuvin up himself so he wouldn't catch the blame for it when the younger boy ended up late to class. Slamming the door shut seemed like a pretty good option...
He grabbed onto the doorknob and opened it just a bit more for some extra potential energy, almost like those cars that you have to pull back so they'll drive farther and faster. He then used all of his willpower to slam the door shut, almost shaking the walls with how much force he'd put into the move.
One "eek!" from the other end of the room was all Ricky needed to know that his plan had succeeded. Smirking as he left the crime scene, the blonde boy made his way to the bathroom, remembering to not lock the door since that, for some odd reason, was a part of the dormitory rules.
Oh, did he mention the horrific dormitory rules? If not, they include things such as: not locking the door to the bathroom unless you're showering or using the toilet, making sure that groceries are discussed midway through the week and picked up together, cleaning the dorms daily since the school cleaners don't get paid enough to do it themselves, and even having to pitch in money for the electricity bill sometimes!
