Hao and Gyuvin were walking to basketball practice, arms linked as they skipped through the halls with glee. Sure, Gyuvin was internally pissed and, to be frank, quite sad about not talking to Ricky for the past 24 hours, but life moves on.
School had started again and Gyuvin was ready to turn his life around. Well, he hoped he would be able to do that. It was kind of awkward trying to slip past Ricky in the morning. And it was very awkward when he failed to do so and then realized that if he wanted to eat breakfast, he'd have to face Ricky.
He didn't eat breakfast. He savored a singular banana the entire walk from the dorms to the main campus.
Anyway! Now he's with Hao and things will be alright. As long as Hao can inform him of the things he knew little to nothing about.
"Has Ricky talked to you yet?"
Ugh, I'm supposed to be asking if you know anything! Gyuvin cried internally.
"Nope." Gyuvin sighed, grabbing onto his backpack straps instinctively. "What about you? Have you found out anything from Hanbin-hyung?" he inquired back.
Hao winced at the memory of what Hanbin had told him last night. He really didn't want to be the one breaking the news about Ricky and Gyuvin's business to an amnesic Gyuvin, so he didn't.
"No, he said he didn't talk to Ricky after he brought you back to the dorm." he lied right through his teeth. He felt even more guilty when Gyuvin mumbled a disappointed Oh and continued walking with his head low.
"If it makes you feel any better, Ricky always feels at ease playing basketball. The company helps him, or so I heard." Hao informed as they turned to head to the gym.
Wait, Hao? Going to basketball practice?
"Hyung, why are you walking with me to basketball practice?" Gyuvin backtracked, completely losing the plot of what Hao was trying to say. Hao chuckled nervously, scratching his nape as to say Uhhhh....
"You want to see Hanbin-hyung, don't you?" Gyuvin narrowed his eyes accusatorily, a smirk tugging on his previously emotionless face. Hao rolled his eyes at the assumption.
"For once, no," he replied, much to Gyuvin's surprise. "The soccer captain is finally back from his break. Tag had been substituting for him up until now, that's why they didn't play at the winter event."
"Who's the soccer captain? And wait, what does that have to do with you?" Gyuvin rambled, having too many questions for Hao's brain to keep up with.
"One question at a time, please..." Hao groaned as they neared the double doors. "Myung Jaehyun is the soccer captain. I have to check how he is, inform the council, and talk to them about a project the school apparently has been funding for a while." Gyuvin gasped at the Top Secret information Hao leaked.
"A project? It's related to sports, right?" Gyuvin got excited suddenly. This shocked Hao because Gyuvin... Well, he's Gyuvin, and he's not very exquisite in the sports division.
"You can't tell a soul about this..." They both stopped walking, seeing that they were right in front of the gym. Hao unlinked their arms and gestured for Gyuvin to bring his ear in and whispered, "They're making a boys' volleyball team, and rumor has it that Han Dongmin will be on it."
"Han Dongmin?" Gyuvin gasped dramatically. "Taesan? The guy who was playing on the soccer team while Jaehyun was gone? You mean... the best player?" Hao swore he could see tears forming in Gyuvin's eyes at the tragedy.
