Tw&cw: triggering violence
As Sunoo emerged from the bathroom, his bruises concealed beneath layers of bandages, he found himself met with Heeseung's unwavering gaze. With a silent gesture, Heeseung took hold of Sunoo's hand, his touch sending a shiver down Sunoo's spine as he was led towards the kitchen.
The aroma of food filled the air, but Sunoo's stomach churned with unease at the sight of the dining table. He hesitated, unwilling to partake in the charade of normalcy that surrounded him.
"Sit down and eat," Heeseung commanded, his voice laced with authority as he motioned towards the empty chair.
But Sunoo remained rooted to the spot, his fear outweighing any semblance of hunger. He watched in silence as Heeseung's mother grew impatient, her frustration bubbling to the surface.
With a sudden, violent motion, she seized the bowl of steaming soup from the table, her eyes flashing with anger as she directed it towards Sunoo. Before he could react, scalding liquid cascaded over his body, searing his skin with agonizing pain.
Sunoo cried out in anguish, his voice drowned out by the hiss of steam and the sickening sound of liquid splattering against the floor. Writhing in agony, he crumpled to the ground, his body trembling with shock and pain.
In that moment of cruelty, Sunoo realized the true depths of the darkness that surrounded him. He was trapped in a nightmare of his own making, with no escape in sight. But amidst the pain and despair, a glimmer of hope flickered within him, a determination to survive and overcome the horrors that threatened to consume him.
