This is back in Marley’s POV. She still doesn’t know what’s going on between her and Harry.
When I woke up, I looked around the strange room I was in. The walls were painted a navy blue, and there weren’t any pieces of furniture. I tried raising my hand to rub my throbbing temple, but noticed I was in restraints. I looked down and saw my feet were restrained as well. I tugged on the rough ropes to try to get free, but it was no use.
“I wouldn’t do that.” I tried turning my head, but couldn’t see who spoke. “We are going to have so much fun with you.” He walked around to the front of me and I could recognize him, but I wasn’t sure where from. He had brown hair that was slicked back with gel giving it an almost greasy look.
“Wait, I know you! You’re the one that attacked me in the alley aren’t you!” I yelled, when it came back to me.
“Yeah. And now, you’re little mate can’t come and safe you this time.”
“What? I don’t have a mate! They were just helping me!” I tried to reason.
“No, I can smell you.” He walked closer to me and sniffed my neck. I tried to get away from this strange act, but couldn’t move far considering I was tied up. “You have a mate. Not sure which one, but you should be. Either way, he will come to save you and his pack will follow, giving us the perfect chance to kill them.” Shivers went up my spine when he spoke.
“How do you even know they are going to come? They don’t even know where I’m at!” I yelled.
“They don’t need to. You can always find your mate. And if none of them is truly your mate, then we’ll have no use for you any longer.”
“So you’ll let me go?”
“No, sweetie. We’re going to kill you,” he said, in such a sickly sweet voice I wanted to gag. With that, he left the room and my strong barrier broke down. Tears started pouring down my cheeks. I just wanted to go home. I didn’t ask for any of this. I can’t believe that just a couple of days ago I was a normal teenage girl who didn’t believe in anything such as vampires or werewolves.
“Someone help me. Please,” I whispered before darkness came over me.
Harry’s POV
I cringed. My mate. Marley’s my mate. No wonder I felt so…so strange around her. And no wonder I reacted the way I had when I heard her talking to her boyfriend.
“Well, what do I do?” I asked.
“She’s your mate. You should be able to find her no matter what,” Liam said.
I was about to respond but what cut off by the shrill of my phone. I looked at the caller ID and saw it was Marley. I immediately answered. “Marley? Where are you? Are you alright?”
“Oh, she’s fine for now.” I recognized the voice as Luke, from the pack that was out to get us. He was the alpha of Alec, the man that attacked Marley in the alley.
“Luke,” I spat, hatefully. The guys perked up intently waiting for me to explain what was happening.
“She’s a real beauty. I might just have some fun with her before we kill her.”
“Don’t touch her!” I threatened.
“If you do not find her before the moon rises tonight, then she won’t live to see another day. Same goes for you. I suggest you hurry. Alec seems to be real fond of her. Actually, he’s with her now. Want to hear?” I heard the phone being pulled away from his face and he moves around a little.
