(y/n's pov)
After we split up, I saw that everyone had went on their little mission to find Luke. Even though I was alone, I was not afraid. I was confident and I was ready to help everyone by finding Luke. I started walking around as I tried to think about where Luke could potentially be on the island.
But he was not found. Annabeth ended up finding out that Luke's ship wasn't here anymore. Percy found Luke's men unconscious near the bay.
It seemed like the island was almost empty and that Luke left the island with little to no trace. I saw that everyone found clues but no actual presence. It was very confusing and unnerving to know that Luke was here at some point but now there was no trace of him.
All of us began to talk to each other about what we had found and what possible implications this meant for us and our mission. I begin to speak, I had one more thing to add.
I had found a note that Luke left for me. It said something about me being important to him and that I needed to listen to him on what I was to do in order to save both me and my friends. This note was extremely disturbing. Luke's intention to involve me in something was already very concerning, but now this note just made it seem even worse.
"How are we suppose to even follow his directions, if he's not even here." Percy said rolling his eyes
Percy had a very valid point. Luke left this note and told me to follow his directions, but yet he wasn't here. It just didn't make any sense. It felt like the danger level and concern was rising with each second now that I read the note.
"Wait, I said, there's a backside, it has coordinates."
30,31N;75,12W
I didn't know where these coordinates meant or where they were going to send us. But they certainly were a clue to where Luke was planning to go.
Annabeth took out her map from her backpack and she began to carefully study it. It was obvious that she was looking up the coordinates and was trying to figure out where they led to. I was hopeful that Annabeth was able to figure out where we should go next based on the coordinates written.
Grover interrupted the slience.
"How do we even know if we can trust him? I mean this situation speaks for itself.""He has a a good point." Annabeth said
"Luke has been manipulative before and I don't know how to feel about this note.""It's worth a shot." I said
Annabeth turns her head towards me
"Is it?" She snaps back
Annabeth's response was not surprising. She was starting to get frustrated with me because of my input in this situation. I was a little bit more reserved about the note but had not made up my mind yet about whether or not I should trust the note. I also felt like Annabeth's frustration was beginning to spill out towards me, which made me feel a little bit anxious.
Percy could tell it got awkward real fast.
"Enough, we have to focus on the situation. This is life or death."
Grover backed up his statement
"He's right, there's no time for disagreements."
They were both quite right. No matter what we thought or disagreed on, now was not the time. We needed to figure out what we should do next in order to avoid any unnecessary deaths.
Annabeth sighed and looked back at the map.
"Can I do this in silence?, she pleaded,
"I need to focus."
