THE START !──── imagine living in rome, italy. living in the best neighbourhood, having everything you desire in life. at least that of what money can get you, living such a life always comes with a negative, that's a promise....
living a life of such importance doesn't only impact you, it impacts everyone around you. those you've got under lock and key to benefit you only wish for the freedom they watch other grow to own.
you watch the people around you run wild, like animals, freely. while you are merely the attraction they look at as you are stuck behind a glass, all eyes on you.
the wrong step you make everyone notices, you walk and eyes follow. but even in freedom, eyes must watch you too, right?
the alarm had gone off, the sun had come through the windows which insinuated it was another day. a sigh left adelina as she woke up, the light making her blink multiple times before actually sitting up to turn off the phone alarm.
her sheets completely disheveled, a leg outside the blanket and the other tangled within the mess of her blankets.
she tilted her head to the side looking at her window watching the light that illuminated her bedroom. eventually she found the motivation to get out of bed, it was exhausting. she had turned off the blaring alarm and was further content with the silence of it all. it allowed her to breath, to have her mind process everything that it must in peace.
adelina was practically dragging her feet behind her the entire time, but as long as she was at school on time it didn't matter.
she was quick to get ready, the same basic uniform, she wore it 5 days a week, she'd have the idea of the uniform imbedded in her mind for the rest of her life.
it wasn't the uniform that was the problem though, no far from it. it was the stupid prestige's school that came with the damn uniform. the entitled kids that went there thinking they were all of that because of money.
you'd hope sometime along the lines of that you'd learn to be humble, but no. what's money when it's followed up by being humble? what's the point of being 'rich' if you can't flaunt it? it's stupid, but it sure as hell gives you a nice label and nice views.
adelina sat at her vanity, fixing up her hair quickly. she put a hairband around her wrist so when she needed to put it up she could have one.
her, camila, and chiara were all in track, though adelina mainly joined for her friend chiara. she had grown kind of fond of it, but it was just a lot especially with being obligated to keep up with your studies.
she grabbed her school bag and her phone, making her way out her bedroom. the walls painted a basic white color, family photos that seemed to so fake now.
the saying 'family comes first' was bullshit in this household and everyone knew it, they were just too cowardly to admit it.
she made her way into the kitchen where her parents sat, of course it was quiet. they could hardly speak to one another without it turning into some sort of argument.
"good morning, hun." adelina's mother spoke, pulling the white coffee mug from her lips. a small tainted smile painted her mothers face, it seemed the only time she really smiled was at me.
adelina sat at the table, placing her bag beside her feet, but she didn't say anything. "i'm pretty sure you heard your mother say good morning, adelina. it's polite to say it back." her fathers gruff voice spoke from behind his papers.
