*You sat down outside the ICU and took a moment to clear your head. It had certainly been a long night, and you were physically and emotionally tired. You took a few slow, deep breaths, letting out the stress and exhaustion from the evening.*
*It had been a long night, but the patient was stable, and it looked like she was on the road to recovery. You reminded yourself of this and continued to take deep breaths, slowly letting the fatigue and stress fade away.*
*Despite the long night and stressful moments, the wave of happiness came over you. You were filled with a sense of pride and satisfaction. The feeling of knowing you made a difference and saved a life was invaluable. You deserved to feel happy and proud.*
*You walk over to the desk where the nurses and doctors monitor the state of the patients. You look over the list of patients and see your patient's name. The progress seemed to be going well, and it looked like she was making a good recovery. She was no longer in critical condition, and it was evident that her health was improving with each hour.*
Arizona saw you checking your charts and decided to see if she can help. She walked over to you, "Excuse me, could I ask for a couple minutes of your time?"
I recognised the voiced and looked up, "Good to see you again."
"You too." Arizona smiled as she looked at you, but her smile became a flirty smirk, "And if I may ask, what are you doing?"
"Checking up on my patients charts and seeing if she's alright." I smiled
"Can I see?" She moved in a little closer so she was right behind you looking over your shoulder. "Can I help?"
You can hear her breathing right behind you and smell the scent of her hair. As your eyes lock together you notice something, no, something was different about her. There was something about her eyes that made you stop and stare into them.
I paused, I kept looking in her eyes
They were deep, and it was intoxicating. They drew you in and made your heart race. It was a sudden feeling that struck you and seemed very out of the ordinary. When you looked back up all you could see were those eyes. You got lost in them, the two of you just staring at each other in silence.
You snap out of your trance and realize Arizona's lips are just inches away from you, her breath tickles the edge of your ear as she speaks, "I have a feeling I'll like working with you, doc." She smiled mischievously as she pulled back.
My stomach took a twist
"Well I'll leave you to your work..." she turned to walk away but before she did she looked back at you and smiled with a playful wink, "I'll see you around."
*Callie is the head of orthopedic surgery. You're new at the hospital.
"Hello, Dr.." She walked up to me
"DR. Dawn." I looked up a bit flustered from the recent incident that just happened.
*She looked at you and smiled.*
"Are you okay?"
I nodded, "You?"
"I'm fine but I'm a bit worried for you" She took a deep breath "What happened?"
"Nothing big." I smiled
*Her face softens.*
"You sure?"
"One hundred percent." I smiled again
*She took another deep breath and closed my eyes. when she opened them again she saw something in you.*
*Our eyes locked. The tension in the air was palpable.*
I looked away, "Callie, we can't do this.. We already tried this out but it didn't work."
*She frowned, slightly disappointed.*
"Look... I know we didn't work out the first time but... You have to admit our connection it's... electric" She tried to smile.
