"THE TRUTH"

Warner looked at Alex with a small, knowing smile. "Don't you love her?" he asked softly. "Then why are you asking for the truth from me?" The question hung in the air, laden with unspoken implications.

"I do love her, but I want her happiness, and that's you," Alex admitted, his voice filled with sincerity.

"She can't be happy with me. Even I want her happiness, that's why I'm pushing her away from me," Warner confessed, his gaze dropping to the floor. The vulnerability in his words revealed the depth of his internal struggle.

"I want to know why can't she be happy with you!" Alex's voice rose, filled with frustration and desperation.

Warner met Alex's gaze, his own eyes reflecting a mixture of pain and resignation. "Because I'm not enough for her," he replied quietly. "I can't give her the life she deserves, the happiness she craves. She deserves someone better, someone who can make her truly happy." The weight of his words hung heavy in the air, casting a somber shadow over their conversation.

"No, that's not true," Alex interjected firmly. "I know you would treat her like a queen, but there's something more you're hiding." His voice softened, filled with empathy. "You're holding back, Warner. Tell me what's really going on." The concern in his eyes conveyed a sense of urgency, urging Warner to open up and share his innermost thoughts.

"I will tell you, but before that, promise me one thing," Warner requested, his tone earnest.

"I promise," Alex replied without hesitation, his expression softening with empathy. "You can trust me, Warner"

"I will tell you each and everything, but I don't want Aleena to know this," Warner emphasized, his tone filled with urgency. "She's already been through enough, and I can't bear to add to her burden." His eyes pleaded with Alex to keep their conversation confidential.

"But how can I hide something from her"

"I know it's difficult," Warner acknowledged, his voice heavy with concern. "But for now, she doesn't need to know. I'll find a way to handle it, but I need your support. Please, help me keep this between us for now."

Alex sighed, understanding the gravity of the situation. "Alright, Warner. I'll keep your secret for now, but promise me you'll find a way to address this with her eventually. She deserves to know the truth."

"Come inside. I will tell you," Warner invited, gesturing towards the door with a mix of relief and apprehension. Stepping into the warmth of his space, he prepared himself to finally reveal the hidden depths of his heart to Alex.

As Alex stepped into the mansion, his eyes widened in awe at the breathtaking interior design. The grand foyer greeted him with marble floors gleaming under the soft glow of crystal chandeliers.

Intricately carved furnishings adorned with plush velvet beckoned him further into the opulent space. Every detail spoke of elegance and luxury, leaving Alex momentarily speechless as he took in the sheer beauty of Warner's home.

Warner gestured towards the elegant seating area and addressed his guest, "Take a seat... Uhm, what's your name? You didn't tell me your name." Alex scratched his nape in embarrassment and mumbled, "My name is Alexander. Everyone calls me Alex. You can call me too."

"Okay, Alex. What do you prefer, tea or coffee?" Warner asked, a hospitable smile gracing his features.

"I'll go with coffee, please," Alex replied, returning Warner's smile with a grateful nod. He appreciated the gesture, feeling a sense of warmth and camaraderie in Warner's hospitality.

"Coming right up," Warner said, heading towards the kitchen with a confident stride. As he prepared the coffee, Alex took a moment to admire the exquisite details of the mansion's interior, feeling a sense of comfort in this newfound friendship.

Soon, the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air as Warner returned, carrying a tray with two steaming mugs. Setting it down on the coffee table between them, he offered one to Alex with a gracious smile. "Here you go, Alex. I hope you like it," Warner said, taking a seat opposite him.

Alex accepted the mug with a grateful nod, taking a careful sip of the aromatic coffee. As the warmth spread through him, he couldn't help but appreciate the genuine hospitality extended by Warner.

Settling back into the comfortable chair, he felt a sense of ease settling over him, grateful for the chance to share this moment.

"Why your being so nice ?" Alex asked

"Why am I being so nice?" Warner echoed, a thoughtful expression on his face. "Well, Alex, I've always believed that kindness is key. I don't see the point in rudeness or being anything other than decent to people. Life's too short for that." He smiled, genuine warmth in his eyes. "Besides, you're my guest, and it's the least I can do to make you feel welcome."

Warner's smile faded, replaced by a pained expression as Alex's words hit home. "If kindness is your key, why are you making Aleena go through hell?" Alex asked, his voice tinged with concern. Warner's gaze dropped, his shoulders slumping slightly under the weight of the question. After a moment of silence, he sighed heavily. "I wish I had a simple answer, Alex," Warner began, his voice filled with remorse. "But sometimes, even with the best intentions, we end up hurting the ones we love the most."

"Aleena, I met her at that library where she usually sits and reads. When I first saw her, she was literally glowing in the sunlight that streamed through the window," Warner reminisced, a wistful smile touching his lips. "Her eyes were fixed on the pages of a book, completely lost in another world. I was drawn to her, captivated by her presence." He paused, lost in the memory for a moment before continuing.

"She thinks that I met her when she asked me for a seat. No, I saw her while she was lost in those pages. I was drawn to her," Warner confessed, his voice filled with a mix of admiration and regret. "I watched her for a while, hesitant to interrupt her solitude. But something about her drew me in, and before I knew it, I found myself walking towards her."

"But my nervousness made me turn away, and the next day, she stood there hesitantly when I sat in her seat. I told her to sit, and you know what, those eyes," Warner paused, a fond smile spreading across his face as he recalled the moment. "Her eyes, Alex, they held a mixture of surprise and gratitude. It was like they were saying more than words ever could. And from that moment on, I knew there was something special about her."

"That day, I ran away urgently after I received a call from my friend David. I didn't know that call would change my whole life," Warner recounted, a hint of sadness creeping into his voice. "I left the library in a hurry, not realizing the impact it would have on Aleena. It's something I've regretted ever since."
