"I won't die this easily, mate," Warner's voice echoed in David's mind as he sat outside the ICU, his heart heavy with worry and fear.

Despite the doctor's grim ultimatum, David clung to those defiant words, a beacon of hope amidst the darkness of uncertainty.

Hour after agonizing hour passed, each minute dragging on as David waited with bated breath for any news of Warner's condition.

The hospital corridors seemed to stretch endlessly, filled with the hushed murmurs of anxious family members and the steady hum of medical equipment.

As the hours turned into a seemingly endless night, David found himself teetering on the edge of despair, his mind plagued by haunting thoughts of what might be.

Yet, through it all, he held onto a flicker of faith, a stubborn belief that somehow, against all odds, Warner would pull through.

Then, as dawn broke and the first rays of sunlight filtered through the hospital windows, a weary but triumphant smile graced David's lips.

Warner: *Emerging from the ICU with a dramatic flourish* "Ta-da! See, I'm still alive!"

David: *Relieved but also exasperated* "Warner, you scared the living daylights out of me! Do you have any idea how worried I was?"

Warner:  "Hey, what's life without a little excitement, right? Besides, I had to make sure you didn't forget about me!"

David: *Rolling his eyes* "Believe me, Warner, you're not someone I could easily forget. But next time, could you maybe choose a less heart-stopping way to remind me?"

Warner:  "But where's the fun in that? Plus, I always like to keep you on your toes, mate!"

David: *Sighing* "Well, I'm just glad you're okay. But please, no more surprise trips to the hospital, okay?"

Warner: *Chuckles* "Deal. Though I can't promise I won't find some other way to keep life interesting!"

David: *Shaking his head* "I don't know whether to be relieved or worried about that."

After making Warner comfortable , David went to meet the doctor.

He anxiously approached the doctor, his heart pounding with apprehension as he awaited news of Warner's condition.

Doctor: "I'm sorry to say, but Warner's life is in grave danger. His heart condition is much worse than we initially thought. He can stay with us for 2 or more years after that I don't know"

David's stomach dropped as he absorbed the doctor's words, a cold wave of dread washing over him.

Doctor: "However, there is still hope. With proper treatment and care, we can prolong Warner's life for about three years. But to give him a chance at a longer life, we'll need to find a suitable heart donor."

David's mind raced as he processed the information, a glimmer of hope flickering amidst the darkness of despair.

David: "Three years... But what can we do to find a donor?"

Doctor: "We'll put Warner on the transplant list immediately, and we'll do everything in our power to expedite the process. But I must warn you, finding a compatible donor can be challenging."

David nodded, determination igniting within him as he vowed to do whatever it took to save his friend.

David: "We'll do whatever it takes, Doctor. Warner deserves a fighting chance."
