The Unexpected Lovers

Chapter 2

Bella POV

"It's okay Bella," I heard a voice say.

I forced myself to let go of Esme to see Alice dance up to me and hug me.

I looked over her shoulder and saw Jasper, he looked uncomfortable.

Alice and I released each other, I smiled at her and looked at Jasper.

"Sorry about Jasper he's new to our diet," Carlisle apologized.

"It's a pleasure to meet you," Jasper struggled to say.

"It's okay Jasper, you won't hurt her," Alice said confidently.

"Alright I'm going to take you on a tour of the rest of the house," Edward said putting an arm around me and started to guide me away.

After what felt like forever we went into a living room and sat down, Rosalie stood up, glared at me, and stomped outta the room, her heals clicking on the floor.

I flinched into Edward, secretly wishing it was Esme, "don't worry bout it," Edward whispered in my ear.

We spent the rest of the day watching TV.

Alice came into the room, "Bella, can I talk to you? In private." she asked.

"Yes of course," I whispered I stood up and walked with her outside, jumped on her back and she ran the rest of the way.

"Bella..." Alice started as she sat me down on a fallen tree.

"You and Esme are mates..." she whispered.

"But what about Edward... Carlisle... what about them?" I exclaimed.

"Bella... Carlisle hasn't found his mate yet... but Edward he killed his mate long ago without knowing it, she was also his singer and he killed her without thinking," Alice said softly.

"But... but" I whispered unsure.

"Bella you can't do anything, not yet, we have to wait until Carlisle finds his mate, otherwise it'll destroy the family," Alice warned.

"How?" I asked surprised.

"I'm not sure, but I know if you and Esme and you become mates to fast, or if the family finds out before they're ready, it'll destroy us all..." she mumbled.

"So what do I do Alice?" I whispered desperately... willing to do anything to keep them from dying.

"You have to pretend to be in love with Edward, be his 'mate' until the time is right, you must be convincing and no matter what... don't give into your feelings for Esme until the time is right," Alice instructed, "I will tell you when I know more, and I'm sorry that you have to stay away from your true mate, I can't imagine how hard its going to be but you must do your best and you cannot let this family down."

I nodded, just the thought of not having Esme was going to tear me up, but I must do it for my future family, even if some of them don't like me *cough* Rosalie *cough*

"Don't worry Bella, I've seen it, you and Rosalie will warm up to you, in time," Alice assured hugging me.

"Thank you Alice, I can feel that you and I will be like sisters," I mumbled.

"That's correct, Bella, you and I will be," Alice said happily.

"Lets go back its almost time for you to go home," Alice said putting me on her back and begun to run home.
